Got it few days ago. Great phone for it's price. It has better camera than Redmi 5 Plus, but smaller battery, however it isn't issue at all because of HD screen instead of 5 plus's full HD.

The worst phone! I have used it for some hours on ist day. It is 60 percent charged and suddenly powered off and will not start again.

I have just come from the Redmi 5 plus that has a 4000mAH battery compared to the S2 which has a 3080 mAH battery. Have used the S2 for only 2 days and I must say I am pretty impressed by the battery life even if it is 3080. GSM arena gives it a 92 hour rating but in my opinion, it matches the 104 hr rating of the 5 plus, if not better. Xiaomi have done a really good job with this phone. Add a very good camera which is wet better than the one on the 5 plus. I honestly can't complain. This is where you see the power efficiency of the Snapdragon 625.

Right now this phone and Meizu M6 Note cost the same.
After deep consideration, I went for Meizu M6 Note due to the following reasons:
1) Metal Build
2) Full HD Display
3) 4,000 maH Battery with Fast Charging
4) Flyme OS
5) Front facing Fingerprint Scanner
But design-wise, Redmi S2 looks better than Meizu M6 Note. The only thing I am not so sure is the camera.
From my usage, the Meizu M6 Note has a great camera, better than Samsung S7 and Note 7. But reviews also said the Redmi S2 has one the best cameras in its segment. Anyone has experience using both these devices?

i like the video recording. the EIS video stability really work great even with 4K recording. but need to download application. i know this from youtube and test by the introducer. but may i know how long will it take for fully charge. my current phone take 4 hours, thats why look for new phone.

With the introduction of the Redmi 6 series,
This phone does not look too bad right now doesn't it.
No notch, best front facing camera with flash . Long battery life due to 720p screen. Forget about 1080p. Televisions use 1080p. 720p on a phone is adequate. Anyway all my movies I download is in 720p

But if you wanna the best frim Xiaomi in this budget category, go for Note 5 Al (Note 5 Pro in India). If you wanna smaller phone, wait Redmi 6 Pro ( if you dont mind notch)..
