AnonD-245666, 29 Jun 2014Someone plz upload UA default browser n file manger Your problem can't be solved just by installing default browser and file manager. You will have to flash the stock firmware first on ur phone and then u will be able to update to kitkat. I had the same problem as I had removed the default browser and it was showing me error while installing the update.

to solve the problem of bigger icon size... can b solved through ...solo launcher...awesome...u can adjust icon size....and i am using xperia theme so its look like totally xperia...xolo q1010i is performing commendble....but its little lacking in sound quality through earphones...

For easy updation use uc browser and download to u disk from xolo site...
From udisk download the file to ur phone..
By uc browser's u disk u can pause or start so many times as u wish and there will b no corruption on resuming download....
Copy the file (DONT MOVE) from uc downloads folder to root of us sd (THIS WILL MAKE UR ORIGINAL DOWNLOADED FILE SAFE) and install by update or by recovery....
Worked for me....

All who are facing errors read this.....
If u have rooted and installed xposed framework or busy box...
First uninstall busybox and then uninstall xposed framework (NOT THE XPOSED APPLICATION) by entering in framework and selecting uninstall framework after uninstalling framework u can uninstall the app.
Secondly full unroot ur device by ur superuser or super su app...
Uninstall any other root apps and then update....
It will b updated definitely....
I got the same problem but solved by above method...

Very bad update.... I face connectivity issues ...like networks..I mean not accessing signals. Before update the siginal accessiblity is good ...and WiFi not working.surely am screawed.. ...y u provide such type of update before confirmation....very carelessly XOLO provide the update..just think about dis ..becz not accessing the siginal how can I use dis phone..and also not working WiFi ....very very bad... Shame on u....

Buggy software... Not able to sustain folders after reboot or switch off. Many a time I tried but every time the appeared empty with no applications inside. XOLO PLEASE RECTIFY THIS ISSUE. Others please suggest aby solution.

Yesterday I have upgraded my xolo q1010i to kitkat,after that the battery backup is very poor,unable to photo as wallpaper properly and icons are too large its not looking good.

You guys are probably having problem updating to kitkat like network error. to rectify that go to wifi connection and select your wifi connection modify. and in there tick mark on advanced option. then in ipv4 settings choose static option. now go to about option and system updates check it out...

The 4.4.2 KitKat update is awsome. I was a bit skeptical about installing the update as xolo has a bad history of pushing out uncooked buggy updates but I am very happy to report that this update is free from any bug or I have not found anything as such in 1 day of use.
Previously the jelly bean rom was not as smooth and there were jitters all around the UI but the UI is blazing fast now.
The major thing is the SOUND FLUCTUATION PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESLOVED and the volume has considerably increased in speaker as well as in the headphones.
The big icons in my opinion doesn't look good apart form this I don't have any complaints to report here.
The audio quality has improved a lot. Camera quality too is looking better.
And yes one peculiar thing I noticed is that you can capture the images in 9.4 MEGAPIXEL using Camera Zoom app and this app produces better quality images than the stock camera app plus the compressin ratio and imaging algorithms are much much better.
So CAMERA ZOOM is highly recommended if you are looking for outright image quality.
This update has made this phone the best in this range and much better than the Grand 2 and Xperia M2.
So just go ahead with the update and enjoy the flawlessly fast stock android.

problem is that we want to try it several times for checkfor the update and download
after download it stucks, then close all apps including software update,disable wifi, data connection.
then try it.....no result then reboot and check for update
after the shutdown... we should be very patient and must have atleast 40% charge
AFTER KITKAT UPDATE
1the looks completely improved
2.there is no much change in performance but better
3.neatily designed user interface
4. apps and apps data remained as it is..
5. some apps wants to update(eg mx player) ,current version doesnt support kitkat
NOTICEABLE CHANGES
1. menu botton is same but ash
2.transparent and white status bar
3.vacant home tabs get automatically deleted
we can create infinite home tabs by adding icons or
widgets one by one
4.ICONS are large in the home as well as app drawer
BUT
looks good and not like ugly SAMSUNG UI
settings icon good
5.widget and app tab disappears
6.apps icon are perfectly sized and arranged
7.inbuilt wallpapers are missing but live wallpaers were there
8. new dialler app
9. timeout is missing in the notification tray ang new option cast screen for wireless dispaly
10. in notification tray,blue is replaced by white
11. there is a new a new option in the settings for
selecting default launcher...after u instal new launcher
12.new ringtones added
13. agps and epo missing
but new indirect new options for accuracy
Lock time is same
14.we need new versions of mx player
15. new option for wireless printing and pdf maker in share option
16 some camera options missing but available in settings ,,, voice capture added and it is working
OTHER FEATURES ARE SAME
i like kitkat update and it is recommended FOR better looks ,performance ,batterylife
xolo q1010i design wise great
and good performance
i am not repeating about camera
phone is all about cameras quality
there is no lag and the perfect phone from xolo if u r not brand liker fool, then go 4 it
it is better than grand 2 and xperia m2 dual in value 4 money and competitor in terms of performance
ONE PROBLEM IS THAT THE SERVICE CENTRE is not much active , takes time to get repaired
