YU's Project Caesar hints a Lollipop phone, mocks Xiaomi

14 March, 2015

YU Televentures, the Micromax spin off company has started sending out a teaser with a cheeky message for Project Caesar. As per the rumours, Project Caesar is the codename for the upcoming Yu smartphone.

After the YU Yureka, the company is now directly jabbing Xiaomi with the post on its official Facebook page about Project Caesar which states - KitKat in the age of Lollipop. Xiaomi just announced the new Redmi 2 and MiPad - both running Android 4.4 Kitkat. Text under that image states - Project Caesar: Stay tuned, the fYUture is coming.

So far, no exact details about the Project Caesar but we can expect a smartphone with CyanogenMod OS sometime next month. That’s also when CyanogenMod is expected to release a stable version of its OS based on Android 5.x Lollipop.

Thanks for the tip, Naveen!
