good phone for the price. screen is awesome. internet speed is also good. but has some drawbacks too, internal memory is low so that limited apps can be installed. doesn't support flash player and the main one battery, not up to the mark. anyway nice phone

[deleted post]There is no need for any hardware keys, maybe a power on/off, and there are many software keyboards on Android Market that make it really easy to text and edit text with no need for a hardware keyboard, I use "Smart keyboard Pro" that can have onscreen arrow-keys and/or let you move the cursor with the volume-rocker and you can make each key larger/higher.

Mwas, 24 Jan 2012 Thanx peppersam.any1 in nairobi who knows where i can unlo... moreunlocking is easy mwas ..just buy some orange credit..ksh.20 is more than enough..go to android market and search 'zte unlock code calculator'..download it and install..it should automatically recognize your IMEI and generate the unlock code..write the code somewhere or memorize it..

switch off the phone and put in a different sim card e.g safaricom..switch it on and wait for the tab that prompts you to 'unlock the network'..key in your unlock code and you are done!!

removing the orange stuff is easy..you need to root since most of the orange apps are installed as system apps..just download universal androot..it should be able to root..but its a temporary root..so some apps like root uninstaller or titanium backup which you'll use to remove those apps may detect your device as being not rooted in which case you need to root again..

there is an easy beginner's guide to rooting and installing custom roms at

Mwas, 24 Jan 2012What is this gen 1 and 2 or cynogen 7.1?i want to buy the p... morebeing Gen 1 or Gen 2 has to do with the memory layout of your blade ..you really don't need to know the details..what you need to know is how you can tell your blade is Gen 1 or Gen 2..Mr.pigfish will help you with that..that's an app in the android market..and how to convert.

converting to Gen 2 or going back to Gen 1 is an easy process..TPT is the recommended method to convert..all you need is to download some files that will help you do that and follow a few instructions..

cyanogen 7.1 is gingerbread custom rom for android phones..it is available for several phones including the blade..it is built by the cyanogen community..there are other Rome you can try like gingerstir fly,Swedish snow, fish and chips
.there are also froyo Roms like Swedish springs

stop lying to us..the mini has a ARmv6 processor just like the blade..adobe flash player(the one from adobe and in the android market) doesn't support arm v6..however there is a modified one that can run on armv6 processors..i have it and it works especially with dolphin browser..i don't see how flash player can make your phone faster ..lol..

stay with your mini with mediocre resolution
..yea.when you upgrade to another o.s it doesn't mean you can't downgrade to the stock o.s it came with for warranty purposes ..bet you didn't know that...am on a Gen 2 blade running cyanogen 7.1..it was originally a Gen 1 blade with v2.1 eclair..if i wanted to reset the phone as it were it would just take me at most 3 minutes

being Gen 1 or 2 doesn't have anything to do with the type of screen you have..as i said mine was a Gen 1 with a tft screen...and you are wrong
.orange Kenya sells the blades with Tft only..the OLED ones were the very first to come out..by then orange Kenya had not started selling the blade..

dial. *983*24474636# in the dialer - if "Glass"
is "Samsung" then your phone has an
OLED screen. "Lead" or "Truly" means you
have a TFT screen...try this on stock rom..i

if you are Gen 1 i suggest you convert to Gen 2 since most Roms now are for Gen 2..we also have Gen 3..you can still convert ..
