Freefaller, 11 Nov 2010@ RFB Thanks for posting the links m8. Sadly, the APN's ... more@ Freefaller,

My APN's work, as I have sent mms messages, and received them too.
I'll put mine up..theres one difference though, as I used a different set, with 1 of the entries slightly altered.
I'll upload them and you can restore them with APN backup and restore.
they work fine... :)

You have to reboot when you delete the APN's and reboot when you enter the new ones, then they will work.

Thanks for posting the links m8. Sadly, the APN's didn't work for me, but others on the Forum said the same. It seems to be a bit hit & miss whether it works or not.
I'm not bothered, I seldom send pics from my phone anyway, but there was just one I wanted to forward. Back to using email attachment for now.
Appreciate you taking the time to help me though.

I've searched Modaco but can only find a thread for SF APN on T-Mobile, and nothing about the file size limit.
Any chance of posting the link(s) for me please. Thanks.

There's also a fix for the crappy little pics that you can get/receive on o2, which removes the limits on the file size.

You will need to delete the currenct APN's in the mobile network, then create 2 new ones for o2.

Also change the answerphone number in your settings to o2's number, as the orange one will probably still remain.

Modaco has the APN's in a post there, and the o2 number can be found in Google(+447802091901)

                    LOL, you too..

What you have to do is to fix it, as they have done this in one of the files in the system.
It's simple, just change it in the "build.prop" file in system from lcd_density=160 to lcd_density=240..or use root explorer, or the lcd density changer app on the market.

I've had this phone on Orange in the UK for about four weeks now. Aside from problems syncing with Exchange - not a phone fault really just a poor quality app - its been brilliant. The screen is fantastic, very clear and sharp. Only two things will worry you. First: The battery cover fits quite loosely at the top right corner and looks pretty flimsy. Second: Battery life is poor, if you spend time playing with the phone you'll get half a days use out of it. I'm looking for a better battery as we speak.

I downloaded Android 2.2 from Modaco and installed it sucessfully.
The screen icons are TINY! and the dialler is about 1/4 screen size in the bottom left hand corner. Is this right? Surely not?

Had this phone a couple of weeks now. It is true that you need to evaluate over time, well this phone is just the best of the best. As times goes on, you see your friend with their smartphoes on expensive contracts, and they look at your phone IN ENVY! They have no idea, if like me you purchased it on Orange in UK, with only San Francisco logo at top of screen. Some think at first it says Sony Ericsson, but if it was the screen would not look so bright (why don't Sony fix their light sensor problem, over dimming screens, like on my X10 mini?).

The audio I initially thoght poor, Mixzing cures that instantly. The screen, Glass, very scratch resistant, and a joy to behold. The only downside Camera poor (limited too to 30 mins recording time. Camera noisy in darker conditions. Not too bad in bright light though, auto focus there, works well with barcode scanner app too).

GPS Good, Wi-Fi not always so sensitive. Email notifications on googl never seem to show, maybe Orange doing that not sure.

Runs NFS, Raging Thunder 2 OK (Close other apps to maximise memory)

ZTE Just proved they can make top class phones, they moved into a different league! Don't tell your mates it's ZTE, they will all want one, that's for sure.

I can ZTE being next to HTC soon, cannot wait for their next offering. Be willing to pay double the price for a better processor, 1Ghz maybe?

This is quality, not a cheap phone just a cheap price 99 pounds UK.

I've had 3 1/2 days roughly of the phone on, but not doing anything, and it still hadn't reached 0%.

On average though, i get 1-2 days on it, using it for some calls, some texts, a little bit of surfing, etc.

Not bad really, as some more expensive phones, you can't even get a day out of them.

How much battery life do you guys get on a charge?....

I get about a day and a half with normal use, but only just a day if I make/receive a lot of calls/messages.

I know it has a large screen, so I'm not disappointed, I expected that when I bought it.

Before the gsm arena posting for this phone, I made comparison to HTC Desire, well I keep my view that believe the screen on SF is actually better. On my desire the colour temp is more to red on RH side, and Blue on LH side of screen, the SF is almost as perfect as you can get. Why try to flash with Android 2.2? Don't get that, even unlocking see no point really, it's built for Orange in the UK. If you want a three phone, the Racer is there, ok screen not so good but still a good phone, have noticed the audio better on racer though, louder and slightly clearer. The screen on racer is very bright though and a true white, the SF is slightly red by comparison. You will not better this phone, looks better than Nokia N8, (the Nokia N8 screen not so sharp as lower resolution). Only the Galaxy S or Wave have better screens I feel, BUT ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER! A Must have phone.
