Home selector?, it's in the apps bar, and it's called "carhome"
But it's not the lg, so has no multiples of home screens, not unless you use a launcher like launcher pro,etc
As for digital clock, i use Sense Analogue Clock, not used the inbuilt clock at all.

I have finally managed to install CMR onto my SF:)
New problem...
I restarted the SF with the vol button down
SF loads in CMR
Menu - chose 'apply sdcard.update.zip'
(Press Home)
Menu - Install /sdcard/update.zip
(Home)
Then I get this...
-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package
Opening update package
E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(No such file or directory)
Installation aborted.
I have downloaded installed another copy of update.zip in case the first one was corrupted but it still does the same thing.
I'm SO close to updating. Any ideas?

Wi-fi is free, as that uses your router/wireless router connection in a hotspot or cafe, etc, so it's not that.
What it is, is more than likely you do NOT have a tariff, that has an allowance for net use, so you will have to change your tariff to get one that allows, say, for example, o2 allows 500meg per month on the "text and web" tariff, otherwise, it will keep eating your credit.
So in the meantime, go into wireless settings, and disable mobile network, until you get it sorted.

Too late, been running it for a couple of days, and not really any game breaking bugs that affect me, TBH.
What surprises me most, is the speed of 2.2, compared to older builds, especially clunky 1.6..

I don't know how old the post is though.

Reading back over your posts has given me an idea. I will post my phone number on your Twitter. Use that number to send me your address. I will send you my phone, (with return postage), and see if you can flash it.
If you can, I'll drive up there and kiss your naked a**e. If you can't, you drive down here and kiss mine. (Only joking).

I can't understand it either. I watched the guy in the Orange shop break the seal on the box, so I know that it was brand new and not a return.
The only thing I did to it was buy an unlock code on eBay, and that came via email. How that 'FTM' thing got on there is a mystery.
Don't knock my 'no kia', it's thinks it's a Ferrari !

Not really, your flash worked..and its still a nokia.
ha-ha.. :)
Post on Modaco, to see how to solve the SF issue..seriously, flashing it, is the easiest of all phones, just pick the file, and clockwork does the rest, that is if you get it working, wihch in your case, as you followed instructions, should have worked.
I scoured their forums today, and the only time that's mentioned was with the unlock codes, and even then, there are easier options, and sellers on modaco selling cheap codes.
That golden whateveritis, is more for shops, or serial ebay sellers, IMO.
Can't understand how you get it....

So you:
Download fastboot.
Turn off your phone and take out the battery. Unplug the phone from the PC / charger.
Replace the battery and turn the phone back on with 'volume UP' held. The device will stay at the 'green android' screen.
Plug the phone into the PC.
Extract the fastboot zip file.
From a command prompt (at the directory containing these new files!) run "fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img"
When this finishes, from the command prompt run "fastboot-windows reboot"
then you,
Download the update.zip and copy to your SD card.
Restart your device in recovery mode (turn on your device with 'Volume Down' held).
Use the recovery menu to apply the update zip.
If you did all that, and it's not working, then you have made a mistake somewhere, as that process works..
Are you sure you are holding the volume button, THEN starting the phone, and holding the volume button, and not just letting go.?!?!

I've tried EVERYTHING. I loaded the CMR in the end using 'fastboot', but when I started the phone with the vol DOWN all I got was a black screen with a white box marked 'FTM'. God knows what that is.
Anyway, I've given up now. I've spent far too long trying to flash this damn phone, so much so that the back cover is becoming loose from the number of times I've taken it off to remove the battery.
There comes a point when you say 'Enough's enough', because you know it's never going to work. I've now reached that point.
