i'm having BB9800 torch and iphone4, iphone is great but after updating the new IOS5, its delayed 2 - 4 seconds. Torch 9800 not that good and touch sensor less works, sometime its hanged. still apple 4 the best

[deleted post]Lol hilarious story. iPhone 5 is indeed in the works but as we have seen with the iPhone 4S, Apple secrecy is very high and the rumors persisted right up to the launch with no one knowing anything for sure. iPhone 5 will be incredible for sure but will release in one years time, as October is the new iDevice release frame, with July being the Mac OSX release frame.
In the mean time, we have the iPhone 4S, one of the most amazing smartphones on the market.

my thinking now is following so would appreciate some assistance. Go for Samsung Galaxy S2 on 12 month contract and then go for the iphone 5 in 12 months (should be out then)
Or
Just go for iphone 4s now and decide on whether to go larger upfront cost and take 12 month contract or just go 18 months and get the 5 then

Without being biased, I would go for an iPhone 4S, as it does EVERYTHING a Blackberry can, and more. The only thing a Blackberry would have over iPhone 4S would be an international data plan package, which are quite convenient.
However, headlines today indicate that Blackberry users have been trading in their Blackberries ever since the iPhone 4S launch, in record numbers:

I'm a business person so BB is great and does all things I need but Apps aren't great therefore I use the iphone. Being honest the battery on BB9900 is rather poor compared to my previous BB9700. Personally if I were you I'd get the iphone 4s now over the BB as I wouldn't wait till the 5 comes out as you never know when that could be! How long is a piece of string! They are both great handsets in their own right and neither are better than one another as I said it all depends on what you use it for.

sunny, 27 Oct 2011you right android market really sucks + android phones too ... moreyou should note that Android runs on Java base, and Java runs on a virtual machine, wich means the real system on your phone has to create a full sub-system so the OS works with it.. that sucks most of the phone's resources
on the other hand, the iphone runs on objective-C which is basically C++ so to speech and that runs directly on the hardware it has, no sub-system required
I have both an android phone and an iphone (a 3GS) and that iphone is way faster than the android, although it's maybe 2 years older on the market

People read reviews, and so far reviews have been overwhelmingly positive including here on GSMArena. 4 million sold on first weekend, and 22 countries launched today, be prepared for even more records breaking soon.
WP7 also coming up, and interesting that after given the chance to study both Android and iOS, they chose the more integrated and 'closed' approach like iOS. User experience FTW, and Apple knew this from long ago.

I am torn in 2 minds whether to get the 4S or just get new bb bold and wait for the Iphone 5....
1. Could get 4S on 18 month contract and upgrade after 15 to 5
2. Could get BB and go for 12 month contract and upgrade to 5 when it is out.
I have never owned Iphone so anyone with some valid opinions would be much appreciated to help me make my decision.
P.S Iphone is currently out of stock and i can get BB now if i wanted
