Its actually Dev Edition but inside same as T-Mobile both has same model number (XT1053)
I prefer this version outside US. Regarding the update its from Google. I tried heavy games they worked fine and without any sign of heating.

Also, look at their site. The unlocked version--only sold directly by Motorola--has all five 3G frequencies and clearly mentions AT&T and T-Mobile.

Why ar... moreYes, I am planning to buy it directly from Motorola, but the only available unlocked version is gsm unlocked phones from T-mobile. That's why I am asking if the phone is fully sim card unlocked. Because some people said that it is not sim card unlocked.
                      And one more question:
Will the update come directly from Google or T-mobile.

This smartphone has everything you really need. Moto x doesn't need the latest specs to perform well because it has a much much lighter Rom than any other Android flagship. Claiming this is a bad phone should at least hold and try this phone and experience its useful features. Anyways this is my opinion. This is a great buy unless you live in a country where they are overpricing it much more than its original price.

Motorola moto x would have moore success, if contained MediaTek MT6592 procesor, the reasons are it's because much faster, much and great light display and main LOW-COST, where he return like a hero for Europe & Balkan market !!
Otherwise moto x it's more great business smartphone, because display not very extreme big, it's 4.7 inch AMOLED and sufficient camera 10MP
Motorola Moto X+ need to contain this elementary specs:

                          Display.- 4.7 " -- AMOLED -- CGG 3
Memory.- 2 or 3 GB RAM
                          Chipset.- MediaTek MT6592 & Motorola 8X
                          CPU.- Octa-core 2 GHz
                          GPU.- Mali-450
                          Battery.- 2700 mah
                          Camera.- the sameness

During the Moto X review. They used all the performance and all other nice thibgs which drains the battery and result to a lesser endurance score...

Aside from that. MotoX got same type as Nexus devices.. so you could not expect putting the real Motorola into Google
