Fake news, they don't know anything and the Lumia 940 will certainly not be more expensive, called common sense.

It should really priced more than the iPhone 6 because it is better, but it won't sell because it is Microsoft.

The only thing that has ever lead me to buy a lumia was their really good camera's and the software that they use for image taking/editing. But the competition is now offering about the same quality imaging as well. If they still use the same sensor in these new phones, then they better do really well in other areas as well, if they want to sell good numbers...

I can imagine most sales of these devices will be done through contract subsidies, just like the iPhone 6.

Of Course, Google wants you to not even consider buying a new Lumia, but the fact is, Lumias have the best real-life features, Windows 10 Mobile is going to prove that you don't need Apple's ecosystem to be seamlessly connected across all platforms. Yes, you don't have a variety of apps, but what is the point of having 20 same functioning apps. I have used Android for 6-5 years, and noticed that in the last few months, I was picking up my phone only to check for app updates. With my Lumia 1520, I do things, for work and for play. System support is far superior than on Android. Lately, every Android phone is made to be almost unusable after 2 years.

Oneplus 2, Lenovo Vibe Shot and Sony z5 (or compact).
Sony will mostly be out as well because that will also be very highly priced.

Ms showing that they still have a sense of humour..
I cannot think of one reason why anyone would pay those level of premium prices when you are getting far from premium device...
