Six weeks with the Huawei P9

PLEASE continue this type of review, because I really wanted the Huawei p9 for the sexy design, and the camera, but I'm just like this reviewer, don't like cases on my phones, but I'm very meticulous, and knowing that you'll still get scratches is very disappointing. I think the same goes with the HTC 10 matte black, which is a shame because that's another sexy beast. Keep it up GsmArena. Still number 1 on my list!

This makes no sense.
Everywhere, including GSMArena and Huawei's own site, the P9 is listed as having Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Yet this hands on claims the opposite.

Akinaro, 29 May 2016Funny because most of flagship would give you the same expe... morefinaly a person who can think rationally. and why did gsmarena purge raw data in thier reviews for so long? this should be a standard procedure to review all flagship phones to get the marketing out of the way and let daily use experience make or break the devices made by these OEMS.

Hard to say something about quality of shots if you post them here without comparison to any other phone in that daylight/lowlight conditions. Also this is not the age of one camera app, try using other cam apps if stock is bad for you, not just go for iphone... Also shame you had no time to record video...

Funny because most of flagship would give you the same experience: "it's not the same as they said" I had that with first xperia z, I had that with galaxy5, I had that with iPhone6 and I had that with xperia z3. All those phones was not like reviews said, one didn't had good camera or battery as everyone said, other had problems with performance even if reviews and comments said that(back then) it was blazing fast, and other had problem with scratches and build quality...
This is how reviews should look like in first place: spend with phone few weeks, not days. Use it.
Because for now reviews even on gsma are plain data that have nothing to do with reality, starting from sound quality ending on placebo benchmarks.

Is there any way to tweak saturation in presets and make it into shooting mode? Images are just too saturated.

Lol.. What was that?? GSM mentions it has gorilla glass 4? Simple glass? I have this phone for a while now, I don't face any battery problems.. None what so ever.. I love the camera, the looks, the USB c port, the speakers, the small compact size, the awesome display and fast performance.. Not once has it lagged or crashed.. I have no clue what the reviewer is talking about.. Buy a s7 and be happy whoever you are.. I think that's the right phone for you..

For those who don't understand, he puts out what the general information of the phone says in the intro. Good battery. But later on he talks about his usage pattern, which is a more blog kinda review. This is good stuff.

I do not agree with the battery life. It is not as impressive as the Huawei mate 7, but as a medium user I have no problem with it running a day and a half. Also It actually does support quick charge, but you need to buy the quick charger separately . I use the original charger and it normally takes me an hour and a half to charge it from 5% to 100%.

I have the regular P9 and the battery life is good, not the best, i can use to phone for about a good while day, i have played lots of games and no lag whatsoever, really amazing, i keep this phone protected as much as I can,the camera lens does look fragile.

I'm wondering why you said the battery life is solid and then said its crap. Gsmarena's battery test gave it a solid score though. :/
Main problem is the price. Its like the xiaomi mi5, a flagship device that's made concessions in regards to build quality or whatever. But its got a worse chipset, and it's the price of good flagships like the s7 or htc10.
Looking at the various Chinese brands, ZTE is looking to be my favourite, but I guess we'll have to wait for more info and a full review.

Yes ,there are better option out there .
But for everyday work even SD616 phones are great .
Every other brands has better phones then Huawei P9 .
But the looks and design , Huawei P9 is just unmatched .
It's the most beautiful phone I have seen in current Market .
I will buy it no matter what the price is .
