Xiaomi just excellent. MIUI 8 is the top best user interface. I'm am just thinking what gonna xiaomi will give in future as they has added so many outstandin feature MIUI 8

I have used Redmi Note 3 for the past 6 months and guess how many times I found my phone slow and wish it was faster? Exactly Zero times.

why compare it to RN3 SD , u should compare it to RN3 mediatek and in that case the phone is certainly better and improved .
things in its favor over RN3 Mediatek:
1-better CPU , helioo X10 dnt even have A57 cores , while X20 have A72 .
2- better GPU , T880 mp4 level last year flag ship , Vs last year mid ranger gpu in x10.
3-Android Marshmallow vs lollipop
4- better build quailty with no plastic parts in the back like RN3
5-i would say for myself i would never buy RN3 gold color .all colors of RN4 is cool .
6-i am hoping for better camera , which is most propable any way.
7-battery life will never be disappointment with redmi phones.
for people comparing it to SD RN3 , i dnt think upgrading SD650 to SD652 in RN4 SD version , will have same improvement that mediatek version have . so they better wait for next year to release RN4 with SD better than SD652 . it was released 6 months ago anyway who needs successor now !!
Xiaomi , plz ditch china roms and start releasing ur phones with Global rom it will save time and money and get u more customers . fingers crossed for RN4 global rom :( .

I would just flash cyanogenmod if I face any major issue with miui8 and they don't solve it. Because I'm guessing they would ship sd652 in India which is a very good soc with quad a72 and quad a53 cores. Can't ask for more for a mid ranger

[deleted post]You don't know about nanometers and now you admitted that you don't know how cores are used either. Helio x20/25 has 2 high power cores, 4 medium power and 4 low power, while SD650 has 2 high power and 4 low power (SD652 has 4 high power). These medium power cores help quite a lot because if you had only low power and high power ones and there was some basic task you needed to do, which couldn't be done by low power ones, but high power ones would be overkill, you'd still be forced to use high power ones resulting in lower battery life or if the low power ones were used the task would be very slow. That's really inefficient. These medium power cores are inbetween other 2 types. They don't sacrifice performance or battery life.

Have you us... moreIndeed Mediatek has come a long way and they actually make decent processors now, but its only a decent processor at best. I wouldn't want a Mediatek processor in my phone, even if they are cheaper than the competition. Helio X20 sure make the user experience great without any lag or whatsoever, but I'd still want a Snapdragon or Exynos in my phone just because they are well optimized and efficient at the same time.
Helio X25 CPU score does come close to SD 820's in Antutu test but it uses 10 core to achieve that, as a result uses more battery compared to SD 820's 4 core (though other non-benchmarking application won't use all 10 cores at the same time) .
Also, Mediatek's use of 3 cluster setup takes more space, which probably forced them to use only a 4 core GPU due to space constraints.
I'd consider Helio X20 (made on 20nm process) to be a direct competitor to SD 652 (made on 28nm process) and X25 to be slightly better than SD 652. In other words, flagship Mediatek's deca-core CPU is only as good as mid range Snapdragon's Octa-core CPU.
