yesterday event in china , confirm that no 6gb , but it also said the next edition will be the 6gb with 128g , Samsung can launch 公开版 OFFICE EDITTION , I SUGGEST WAIT IS GOOD TILL THIS SEPT LETS SEE WHAT APPLE BRING

Most of everything is being loaded from ram (when it is there), NOT from storage. That's why the brand new with the extra fast storage and SoC loses to Oneplus 3.

Most of what people do is open and close apps. Having more ram means doing them in a jiffy instead of always loading them from storage. Phones with more Ram would ALWAYS best phones with better SoCs or faster storage in app launches.

Haha, milk those fan boys. And when the 6GB Note 8 (or 9 at this point) comes along you'd be able to call it "new and revolutionary".
Bleh, Samsung reminds me of Apple these days. Of course Samsung fans (not unlike Apple fans) would write below how "more specs" don't matter and how they can do everything already, etc, etc ... But the truth is they do matter. That is why my iPaD Air is dog slow with iOS 10 (it only has 1GB oF ram), that is why a cheapo from China (Oneplus 3) is faster than Note 7 already, even though it came out earlier at half the cost, that is why Note 7 would seem outdated in 2 years from now.
Hardware matters, there is no escaping to that and OEMs know it, that's why they outfit their flagships with the least possible that would still allow them to be called flagship. How else would the user buy the new one when it comes along?
Hard to think that my Note 3 is still going strong, 3 years after its release, let's see how Note 7 would fair in 3 years...
There is a noticeable fall in quality of Samsung flagships, after removing the capacity to put extra large batteries, now this. I just hope people and reviewers would stop pandering to them..

its because CDMA networks are not supported by Exynos. Thats why snapdaragon 820 is used in US and China. Europe and Asia mostly have GSM and LTE networks

The S7 with a QHD display has more battery life than the OP3 with a FHD display, both having equal cpus and 3000 mAh (yes it has more ram, but its still less than 1.25mv of power used by the memory on both since its DDR4 based, since desktop is 1.25volts we should assume it doesnt consume 3-5mv as the cpu at full clock, even with gigs). Its about how each component is made and its target power consumption only.

Samsung should have come up with the 6gb ram model in the first place. I think the current hype for the model is only temporary when others will catch up especially anticipation of supposedly iPhone 7 in coming month.

Look at the battery tests. Clearly samsung's 1440p amoled displays do compete and even beat many of those 1080p displays from other manufacturers. And you can have all the RAM you want but if the software isn't properly optimized, then all of that memory will be put to waste.

do you work for Samsung or som... moreThe 1440p display takes less battery than the 1080p display on the galaxy s5 or the 1080p on lcd displays. The extra battery drain comes strictly from the increased strain on the GPU. But how big is that strain?
Anyway, as I said, people value display. People buy Samsung specifically for the display.
But again, that's besides the point. 6gb ram has no value. At all. In fact the most popular phone to use it, the one plus 3, did it solely as a marketing gimmick. So why should anyone in their right mind care about 6gb ram?
