wat ever may be nokia strategy but they can never win sony in walkman and camera phones thts a bet nokia just follows wat others does and sony has got the design power and everythin
see if u buy an nokia phone wid a memory slot than the maximum capacity will be 2gb but in nokia phones if u put 1gb card only it starts to hang and becums slowly whereas sony phones u can put upto 4gb wid out anyproblem and sony defnitley will beat nokia and win the race

Nice shooting Tarantula! I really must admire the passion you show in trying to prove that Nokia sucks. Really amusing reading, keep it up!
The one thing I yet marvel is the talk about who invented what first. I mean, what´s the difference? Should only the brand that invented the airbag be allowed to have such in their cars for example?
It would be stupid not to use ideas (even if they aren´t your own) if they are proven good.
It is also quite pointless to express your feelings about new Nokias, since we all know by now that you consider them all as crap as long as it reads Nokia on it. You are right about the 6111 part though, the sliding system do suck...
I´m very interested about the answer to the new Nokia announcements. Since for the moment some WalkMan concept feels pretty boring. I hope Samsung will come up with a new design, Motorola could come up with something useful and SE could release that HandyCam, if they´ve got one that is... SE ain´t gonna stay around only with some "cool" displays and shiny covers. The announcement of the W950 would also be nice since it´s quite much the only SE phone I like.

Nokia must be really naive to think that they can win music fans with these kind of phones..... Its not even cool looking and it looks kinda cheaply constructed. Still with the cheap price you can't really complain much.

I am sorry but the FIRST MUSIC ORIENTED phone was NOKIA 5510 in year 2001!!!
Thus, these phones follow Nokia's own tradition. (Using your logic, one may even say that SE copied Nokia's music phones... ;)

I think anyone that thinks these are even near the Sony set of phones is obviously dillouded.
I suspect the Nokia phones are ill thought out, way too slow and it's a classic case of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted.
Nokia should have,but didn't learn their lessons with the N91.
Sony and Samsung have overtaken them and as a consequence, they are losing customers.
A lot more to improve their phones needs to be done.
Sort it out Nokia.

The first phone with 16M screen is samsung SCH-S250, comes with 5MP CCD camera and it been launched in the end of 2004 only for south korea

Finally!!! I'm not a Nokia fan, but FINALLY they are going to release two phones I wouldn't mind having. 5200 and 5300 are really good looking phones.

look at their colors... orange.. bluish / grayish... looks like the w600. especially the orange one, walkman's trademark color

Other pearl of nokia childs, i think that the situation is the opposite.

1st 2MP camera hpone in europe: SE K750
1st 4Gb HD music smartphone: samsung i300
1st 5MP camera phone in europe: LG KG920
1st music-oriented phone: SE W800
1st phone with 16M screen: samsung
Now in other countries you will find some incredible phones of samsung with 10MP, 3x optical zoom, 10GB HD phones, DMB technology, HSDPA... I dont understand how much uproar with the N91 8GB, N95 and other nokia phones. Maybe N95 has some merit in this field... i must accept that it is a great phone, but the most of features of N95 already exist and even beat it, in other samsung phones (i dont take in account the CDMA EV-DO... 12Mbps... is a mac laren in speed!! it beats all HSDPAs)
Samsung has their own semiconductor laboratory, they develop own technologies... this is a real advantage over all phone makers (including nokia)
For me the crown of the technology king is for samsung... not for SE, not for nokia... it is for samsung.
If nokia really learn from own mistakes, i really hope that fix their symbian... instead of launch of remaked and renamed phones i think that buggy ald laggy symbian will be fixed!!... annoying OS!

¿¿¿¿5300 is better than W700????? ¿¿¿is a joke or what???
The unique outstanding feature over W700 is the screen and EDGE, no more. W700 has a lot better camera 2MP, better battery life (i think that the life-time of 5300 it will stay in the level of 6131 (760 mAh + QVGA screen = ouchhh!!)... it means VERY BAD, specially for a music phone), USB 2.0, camera with 2 LED, good mp3 player, a lot better headset and i am sure the same about the sound quality...
I dont talk about the sliding part, i talk about the sliding part below because i have a bad experience with 6111 and 6280, especially with 6111... i can say that this phone is a real crap!
Some nokia boyz say things without the correct knowledge and talk only with their blind heart... be objetive only for one time in your life!!

So far all the reviews of Nokia sliders says the sliding mechanism is not good. I have to see a review for this one to convince myself.
Anyways, the models looks cute in my oponion..looks prety much like a remodeled 6111..dont know why SE boys talking about W550/600 they are not sliders..are they?
...Whats bothering me here is the placement of the music buttons. That is where we hold the phone and our thumb will be always on it. Hope they will be locked while not playing music.I guess one have to learn to hold it differently.

but the 5300 its ages more capable than the w300/w600/w700. QVGA screen card slot. and its not the same 6111 it have the same style a tiny round slider, but you can't know yet how the slider can be! wait for a review before talk crap of a phone, nokia learns from their "mistakes" not like sony ericsson, motorola, samsung that copies features for so long.

This is a copy of SE marketing strategy, take a model; change the case color and memory card and you have a new phone... before with SE K750, W800, W700, D750, now with nokias music phones.
At least in SE phones dont have mechanic problems like sliders, it seems that new nokia sliders are built in the same chasis of 6111... is incredible!!
6111 is the worst slider in the world!!! is a real crapp!!!, the sliding part is the worst between all sliders and the phone functionality too low

Nokia officially has their own Walkman line of Phones, I mean Xpressmusic series. Sorry
