My last Motorola Android phone was a battery draining monster right out of the box. I'm careful about what I download from the market and monitor running apps. I'm talking right out of the box, leave the house in the morning, and by 1 or 2pm it would be dead. Too bad, I would have liked it otherwise. Sorry Mr. Jha, try again...

          This is the true fact.
I think the only solution for this problem is the google must have to apporve each and every application which is being released in the market.

of course the applications are going to run down your battery life. Listening to music, making phone calls etc also run down your battery life. If your smart about downloading applications, killing them properly and READING the reviews before downloading, you will have no problem at all.

People need to read the comments and look at the rating before downloading the app. Come on people be smart. If you do that trust me you will have no prob.

Nexus one is so good for me. Never had a prob with it. Again people be smart it s open source. READ!!!!!!!! I know its hard for a lot of people.

Obvious bias is obvious. Sure, add another application layer to "speed up" the system... all who see the idiocy of this sigh here...

Android system already has shedloads of apps that can monitor app battery usage anyway.

Sir, from day one Android market is an open platform! If want a closed platform please go for IOS! Btw, please do your own job to update the Atrix Gingerbread or just unlock the bootloader!

Motorola Atrix is horrible. It has a dual-core processor which is NVIDIA Tegra and even 1 GB of Ram. But there are times that it freezes and lags. Made me laugh. HAhahaha :P

Well if you are high up in the technology that does not mean that you know all about the lowest level of technology. I used to blame my usage for the battery life but now I know that it will sure be MOTOBLUR that will be battery hog. Hmm, my kitchen is cleaner then yours !!

We should have a area called trusted apps on the stores .. were only applications that have been tested .. should be placed ..

                                        My two cents:
                                        1) Did anyone know that motoblur has been collecting information from their phones?

                                        2) Wouldn't motoblur continuously running in the background and collecting information impact performance and reliability?

Reminds me of a bad joke: "Scientists were conducting an experiment on a dog. They cut off one of it's leg and commanded the dog to fetch a ball. The dog fetched the ball. They cut off a second leg, and commanded the dog to fetch the ball. The dog fetched the ball. They cut off a third leg, and commanded the dog to fetch the ball. The dog didn't do as commanded. The scientist concluded the dog went deaf."
