And to 7am0o0o00ood, get your facts straight, its not plastic. It is glass and the rest of the phone is stainless steel. Know your stuff before you comment. Dont bash on things you don't even know about.

By the way, this phone is 1GB, I have it. I checked the available space and its 1GB. Not 128, 128 was the early developers prototype. I work in a phoneshop and I have the new one vs the prototype. Just to let you guys know.

Do you really think Nokia is going to release an 8 series with a good camera??? They have released 5 of them now. And NONE of them have been impressive. You can hope for your 8600i, but I am going somewhere else............

Anyone know where i can get the preinstalled themes that come with the 8600? They're copy-protected on the phone, so you can't bluetooth them over. I wanna see what the 8600 themes look like on my 6300 :-)

i dont think there are any rules to say you cant have a goodlooking phone that plays music sre there?just because its supposed to be a posh handset doesnt mean you have to cut out features, this is a contract handset and can be bought by most people its not a vertu, so nokia stop trying to be what your not.the nokia name is the toyota to vertus lexus.

i dont get it. will the phone be sliding upward like the 8800 or will the cover of the keypad be slided down like the 8850/8890?

I really don't see the logic in heads of Nokia design and engineering team. It seems like so hard to put somewhat more memory in lower priced models, and a memory card slot in mid and high end models should be a must these days. People like it, and other manufacturers are doing it, so... I work in a store selling mobile phones, and in my experience, most of the people have nice words for quality of Nokia phones, but they often buy another phone because of 1-2 more features for the same price. I know that Nokia-crazed people like me would probably buy Nokia anyway, but they are definitely loosing some nice market share because of it.
Actually, personally I wouldn't buy this particular model either, if I had extra money to spend, simply because I don't support that attitude..

Those of you who have got the 8600, could you e-mail me some photos taken with the phone's camera so that I can have a look at the quality of the 2MP camera?

                            Thanks very much.

could've been perfect if it has an expandable memory... I am sure Nokia will soon release an improved version of this phone, equipped with a memory card. Nokia 8600i perhaps

Not sure whether there'll be a Sirocco version of the 8600, because Sirocco was on the end of the model number like Luna is at the end of the 8600. Sirocco is a strong, dusty wind that originates in the Sahara desert and sweeps across all the way to the mediterranean, whereas Luna is the Roman mythological name for the goddess of the moon. Pretty contrasting themes there, I think. Love this phone. Ordered it yesterday and it should be here tomorrow or the day after. Is the memory 128MB like it says on GSM Arena or 1GB like it says on the T3 Video?

I think you mean 128mb not gb cos if it did have 128gb that would be something.
I have the phone, not impressed keeps dropping the call and losses signal then gets it back again.

Nokias going to get called "LUNATICS" releasing a mobile with 128gb of memory so how can you get music or addition software on your "LUNA" mobile without it saying Memory Full which will annoy of alot of people, also will this phone be a good seller for Nokia now doing that an the 600 pound tag on it i doubt it,it might look good yes but you buy a mobile to use its functions but you can"t with the LUNA

                                      preety cool stuff.

i owned 8800. it was insane.

this is insane too. but i dont understand how hard that glass could be, that survive drop on the floor. can somebody explain me?

if its wooden floor ok, but what it is if floor are made of concrete?

and i am very interested in these. but i dont live in UK.

when will be relised in Slovenia or Italy?
