Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000

Kies uptodate, BUT still cannot update to 2.3.3
Each time after i press Continue after the backup step, KIES crash !!
What is wrong?

i'm from ireland.will this 2.3.4 FW fit to my galaxy s from vodafone?

I have installed 2.3.4 firmware from http://www.theandroidsoul.com/ via Odin and the phone just fly. On Quadrant with stock 2.3.3 the result was 980 and with this new stock 2.3.4 the result is 1802 !!!

the problem is with 'orange' they are not releasing their 2.3.3 gingerbread.
I updated mine with gingerbread from web

Try rooting it, http://www.cyanogenmod.com/ is based on gingerbread if you get sick of waiting, you can always un-root it if you need to send it for repair or whatever.

your network service provider may not support reason why your phones are outdated...samsung give the update free but since your phones are somehow altered by the network provider...it will be up to them if they when will their users receive it...contract phones really sucks!!

If you want to get update fast, buy the unlocked version, or root your android (but the warranty will void)

This is a super fast rom, using quadrant advance my cpu now is 2000+ faster then htc evo, which on previous build 2.3.3 only arouud 1300 to 1600, so to all galaxy s owner flash this you won't regret....
