Second batch onwards have the purple screen defect. You learn to live with it and accept the fact that it may never get resolved but it's a touchy issue. Let's not go in there.

awesome hardware, stupid software. i sold my n8 coz i just couldnt take the symbian nonsense anymore. all the nokia fanboys shd snap out of it. n8 is an absolutely wonderful phone but the symbian OS makes it quite shitty. and the PR2.0 or Anna was supposed to come out back in february. and nokia is FINALLYYYY releasing it in july. disappointing. good thing i sold my n8,next ill get the galaxy s II. symbian is dead.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2011If you plan to buy this phone just because it's a Nokia and... moreI alreday have one, a Droid X2, but I always like more Nokia hardware since 1995, in fact I still running my 5230 for GSM Network and planning to get a new W series as long they launch. :D

I love Nokia phones but I don't get an Symbian one for now I will wait for WP7. And I still wish they release phones Like E7 or C7 shapes in W Series

Do you have problems with the Purple screen? I have some friends with E7, N8 and C7 and they don't have that problem at all? Is weird. I always believe only the first line of production cames with that error and the new not.

AnonD-4697, 22 Jun 2011I't will be cool some users share something related...BUT o... moreIf you plan to buy this phone just because it's a Nokia and it can run Android apps then why not stop waiting and just get an Android device? They also cannot guarantee that the Android apps won't run like shit. That solution is ghetto. It's like using Brightness Control to hide the purple screen defect on the N8. It hides the defect but it doesn't solve it.

I say just wait for Nokia's WP devices since this MeeGo phone and WP devices will be available at the same time.

Still betting on the wrong hoarse.....they just don´t get it.....They will learn the hard way, like moto and others have leraned in the past...

When people were expecting WP7, mee-Go, that many thought it was dead already, they release this.....Nokia will be a good case study in the future, "how a mobile giant has drowned"....

I have to laught with all this kids complaining about the CPU, "O yeah dual core or quadcore" It simply doesn't need a dual-core CPU, overpower CPUs is only usefull for laggy Android UIs.Not to mention the 1Gb of RAM, what will make this phone a monster of multitasking, yeah, there are some droids out there with 1Gb of RAM, but N9 doesn't have those UI launchers with thousand of stupid widgets eating the memory and the awful flash. Instead, Nokia did a better, straight and professional-looking home-screen only for this kind of stuff.
I believe that this phone will be as fast or even faster than dual-core Android devices, also, remember that there must be a balance between CPU-OS.
3 years Ago Nokia launched the Nokia N900 with linux maemo, 256mb ram and 600mhz CPU and i think its the best phone to the date with multitasking experience!. So pls, kids, this will be a revolutionary phone.

Sad but this look like, this will be the FIRST and LAST Meego phone from Nokia.

I now this phone is an decoy or something to keep users happy until they release Windows Phones, the specs are great, but the OS is simply wrong. I don't see any future on Linux Phone community.

I hope Nokia knows what is doing with this OS. But I still saying the phone looks cool and the hardware specs are GREAT for a Nokia device :D
