Vikas, 07 Mar 2012Apple has redefined the Touchscreen phone's standard & ... moreyes their phone set the benchmark when it comes to smart phones in general, no one is denying this but, apple didnt create the touch screen that was on the iphone... it was originally made by HTC. just food for thought. and they set the benchmark but havent really wowed anyone really with anything else new, and dont say siri because windows phone 7 have had the same thing since its original release 8 months before Iphone 4 S was released. If apple want to keep above water they will need to raise the benchmark when it comes to smart phone capability due to andriod phones becoming more customisable and mor flexible in what u can do with them.

montero, 07 Mar 2012 i think apple should sit down and think deep on what to do... moreThe irony is that while you wrote this, they launched the new iPad 3 and third generation Apple TV, so I guess they are ALSO doing what you suggested, while kicking Android's butt with licensing fees lol.

Apple has redefined the Touchscreen phone's standard & has raised the bar a notch ahead than any other Brand did in History. Though they came in the market late, but they captured & set a benchmark for other brands. I would say- "They came, they saw & They Conquered...."

Apple came into the market with their stylished touch screen phone when allready other company invented the techology with stylish design...........so Apple should thank Samsung, Nokia, Motorolla & specialy LG because iphone design is copied from LG parada............back in 2006............thats why Apple does not have any right to demand any money from other vendors...........

Lol, Apple should thank Motorola for inventing the Mobile Phone, then thank Nokia, Lg, Samsung and others for making touchscreen devices before the iphone (apple fans forget the Motorola Ming A1200 from 2005 or the LG Prada from 2006).

Apple has had some nice quarters, but it won't last. They are not making any innovations at all. Of course, Apple fans are blind and will buy their products, but the Iphone 4S was a disappointment (in features) and I believe it only sold well because of Steve Jobs death.

This is downright typical of Motorola who tried the same tactics in the nineties to try to keep Japanese phone manufacturers out of Europe and the US.

I terribly hate Apple (the worst mobile company?) for the following reasons:

                          1. They're pricing too high and stripping Apple fanboys, exploiting their emotions.

iPhone4S 16 GB comes for around 54,000 Indian Rupees. Galaxy S2 for around Rs. 27,000...
                          N8 comes for Rs. 17000...
Does iPhone 4S deserve to be more than 3 times of N8 or twice of S2? Does it have something that extra?? No.

I've used their products and despite some major lackings, they're good products... but their pricing sucks!

                          2. They're Trying to win battles in courtrooms and not markets. And applying for patents based on childish ideas (yeah, swipe to unlock, so what's so special? Is it a damn game to unlock a mobile keypad?)

I'm not an Android user... But I hate Apple for whatever they are and their attitude!
Steve Jobs was a Piscean like me, but what an exploiting company he left in this world...

hmmmm you might say that the late steve jobs doesn't want anything to do with android, but the sue didn't go anywhere at that time, who knwos what will he decide now? he might be go the same way apple does now.. and i've said it many times before, it's always about the money.. apple didn't want an honest or innovative market, they just want a market that makes a lot of money, and it is understandable.. but i've seen many noble iphone's fans, thought that it is in the name of originality.. because iphone itself is not exactly original.. but they didn't copy from the big guy, that's why they didn't caught and apple copying was considered a myth..
