For the past 4 years the good thing about blackberry is bb massenger, the rest is bad battery life, bad build quality even on the high end produk, unstable os. Now there is imessage and whatsup, there is nothing special about blackberry anymore. I think in the next 2 years there won't be any blackberry if they can't make some inovation and good product.

.. I have been using BB for the past 2 years, just bcoz some of my friends in Indonesia uses BB messenger & some, for the wrong reasons. 3 weeks ago; I bought an Android Galaxy Note for myself & a Galaxy Tab7+ for my wife. I must say;.. it's so much more exciting,.. for work & play. The apps available are endless. Yes, BB stills works; but it's getting boring already with fewer & fewer good applicable apps. Maybe Samsung should buy over RIM..

I have had a Bold 9000 since 2008. NEVER had a querty/keyboard issue! Only thing I have had replaced ONCE is the trackball. My volume control is off a bit, apart from that have not had any issues.

I hope RIM gets there act together and puts out some good BB10 phones and MARKETS them well. The other big thing is carriers if they don't push the phones then you lose out on potential customers.
RIM needs to point out the advantages it has security, compressed data and many more etc...

QNX is a awesome platform used by nuclear power plants, air traffic control rooms. That should tell you something....

I'm from indonesia too currently a Blackberry user and web os user (ouch this one a dead os but hey i still like the os way better than RIM shitty os) i'm still using blackberry cos in my workplace my boss and my coworkers using blackberry so it's easier to communicate with them and my friend too. but now i'm tired using Balckberry device since the new os and device of blackberry doesn't offer much. People here buy the lattest blackberry just for trend and to show people that they can buy it (such a waste of money!) Heck i think the hype will be over soon (just like nokia used to own the mobile phone market in this country) and before that happen i think i'm going back to IOS device (the best Smartphone Device from my opinion) cos i don't really like android.( i give my galaxy tab to my brother cos it's boring and the app still crappy)

I have never had a problem with Blackberry there handsets do everything I want and imo are reliable from experience. If I was to suggest anything to RIM is put bigger battery's in there sets.

I have just changed over to a BB 9900 and its a dream best BB I have ever owned and that will see me till my next upgrade in 24 months time.

RIM please stay with it don't sell out you have a good product imo.

The qwerty keyboard acted up(iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii) in just 2 months! BES or BIS. ??? Android can be setup with exchange and have the same functionality. Also my keypad stop working, then app error. Had to reinstall the OS. Luckily I had BB Protect. I then got my first Android from HTC and have been happy since. I am glad to be out of the BB. It sucks!!!

Next may when RIM announce BB10, and no one buy it, and in June RIM will say they only sell 4Million BB because they refocus on business user, and in next september RIM will say they only sell 2 million BB because they refocus, and in november RIM would be bought by Google for intelectual property, and BMM will be shut down. and all those BB phone will be useless.

I'll tell you why they're losing market share. It's the price of the apps...

Have a look, you can browse the Appworld online. Take a visit & then search for clock...

There's a luxury clock widget on there.

Bear in mind you're just getting a widget. Not a clock, nor a luxury phone.

How much are they charging for this technological feat of wonder?

                      $600

No you didn't read that wrong & I didn't put an extra 0 on the end. $600 for a widget.

Imagine, in... moreThe article says that RIM shipped (if shipped is correct, then they probably sold even less) 11.1 phones in the 1st quarter of 2012. The article does not say but I presume that's worldwide. This means the 290M people of Indonesia, including the population of Bonaire, did not buy a lot of BBs this year.

This spells even more bad news for BB if they could not even sell a lot of phones in countries where they are number one.

Are you seriously suggesting that by making old outdated phones they will fair better in the market place? As you well know the point I am trying to make is that to survive they need to produce modern up to date phones that people want to buy. They refuse to do it, hence why are they are struggling.

Here data is still expensive for most of the ppl and Blackberries are selling well here because of the service.

BUT these phones are the phones that are coming back with a lot of issues freezing etc in comparison to even Nokia Blackberries phones are unrelaible in my own opinion to be dam honest IM a andriod user and if you will to pay a little bit extra $ just for data (not that much different to the BB Service you would get more satisfaction with a Andriod or a Iphone even if the Andriod was a Galaxy Y Pro it could out beat any Blackberry in terms of functionality. the Price of the BB phones are just horendous in comparison I think considering they all do the same thing for the minor specs if they bring out something like a complete touch screen with full 1080P recording and voice guided GPS for Free with the service etc and more then yeah at a reasonable price too. oh and hardware that doesnt require you to reboot the phone every two weeks and a longer battery that holds more than half a day (GSMarena shows all new BB's are around 5-6 hours 2/3G networks can we say WTF)

I'm from Indonesia, and in Indonesia, Blackberry is doing so well because of the BBM (Black Berry Messenger) Service. Without BBM, Blackberry will no longer be used anymore.
And here, Blackberry is marketed as a trend / lifestyle thing, not as a business phone.
Even the teenagers will cry out to their parents to buy them blackberry just for the BBM. Cause they still think it's a cool thing to have BBM. And also they don't wanna be left out from the news among their friends if they don't have BBM. Cause all the news will be shared throughout BBM. Without BBM, you will be the last to know about the info among your friends
