Nokia drops support for Skype app on the Lumia 610

This makes me wonder if all these devices will face problems or work on Windows 8 Apollo ?
Anyway, I trust Nokia and everyone knows that Nokia's hardware is the best among all Phone's manufactures, but Nokia didn't join Android because they liked to be unique (they are already unique). However, I don't think that making a pact with Microsoft was the correct choice. Why doesn't Nokia produce their own OS like Apple? they have the ability with their huge researches centers and scientists. Why did they kill Symbian and Meego? I don't have any problem with Symbian and millions of people like it , especially Nokia Belle.
Please Nokia, Fire Elop .. He is destroying you. I think if Nokia had joined Android , we wouldn't have heard today about galaxy or Nexus or Note. Samsung is really so lucky.

[deleted post]Man get your facts straight, Lumia 610 is dumphone and band one on top of that. Horrible battery life, no multitasking, no real OS features, it even lacks basic features which can be found on the cheapest dumbphones. It can't even run Skype. :D What a overpriced POS.

i just can said , skype design worse geting worse.
i still remember i can use skype in wm5 . it's can talk as well when i using Dopod 838.
all i can said is the worse function add by skype kill skype itself.
i dont think last time have 800ghz +256RAM phone.

See ur's friend wp7 or go to a mobile shop and try it, i am symbian fan to begin with, later android, now ios and wp7 but u know what wp7 is fastest os alive out there not even ios. It doesnt even stuck for a second and even lumia 610 of lower specifications.. its so fluid that ur mind will block, hey i am not here as a fanboy, just go and check and if i was wrong, no that cant be possible so please chect that os, android even in s3 stucks( i mean it doesnt stuck but lags a bit, that was even said by verge and gizmodo), so please its a request, check wp7 and then critisize it, i too am crisized it first, but i changed after experiencing ig, so that's gona happen to u, see ya.. Gud luck.. And llng livw windows phone and waiting for wp8..

Nokia has a contract with Microsoft.
Microsoft owns Skype.
How hard can it be to optimize your own products?
Its like saying Macs can't run FaceTime.

Skype is not really design good enough for mobile devices.not the processor or Ram to be blame.
i using Android 2.3 , it's make my Sony X10i keep on hot , i saw the setting is after 15mins turn to offline. this is worse ever setting. whatsapp is go sleep mode, viber is go sleep mode but skype is always online or go offline.its consume my battery 50% within few minute.
i never recommend any mobile device using skype.

With this, Nokia is not gaining any trust from customers and/or app devs. How can we expect good apps like HD games if it can't efficienly run a very simple app like Skype? Specs is not an excuse, cuz there are a lot of android phones which has lower specs than this (like Galaxy Y) that can run even some HD games.
