PV808 is 100 times more popular than total phone produced by moto during that year BTW even after using Kodak CMOS ZN5 was no where near to N95 or N73 in camera department (actually in any department) also N73 and ZN5 where in the same league but it still failed

Same with Nokia at the present time :-)
Sad, but Nokia out of game. This is not city market, this is GSM giants fihting.

the S3 is a $1000 =R8979 in south africa, thats more than expensive, rather go for the Nokia Pureview for $699 = R5592.

AnonD-11851, 19 Jun 2012its reasonably expensive because of the amazing innovation/... morelol. pureview is almost the same price of sgs3. single core is cheaper than multicore so pureview is very expensive for the megapixels alone.

$699 is roughly the price of a good mirrorless camera (Sony NEX, Olympus PEN etc.) and that blog post showed the 808 matching a hardcore DSLR in optimal conditions.

Yes, the 5D MkIII will kill the 808 in the dark and is a far better photographic tool generally. But the 808 camera absolutely trashes the iP4S in that test and the xenon flash will make for far better pictures in the dark.

At $699, IMHO this is a proud sendoff for the Symbian^3 platform and I can't wait to see PureView tech in the next range of Lumia phones!

AnonD-14560, 19 Jun 2012Very expensive for not an Android smartphone.its reasonably expensive because of the amazing innovation/technology the phone has - PUREVIEW, which cameraphone geeks really admires!

android phones are unreasonably expensive without any innovation at all. they only boast of the multicores which are basically unneeded. Remember, the single core nokia phone can do all the stuffs the superexpensive multicore android phones can do.

                                  you bet!!
