AnonD-43930, 29 Jun 2012HTML5 going to replace flash player even your latest laptop... moreBut there are still more webpages that use flash than use html5, and there will still be more than enough older, Windows 7..., computers that will be able to play Adobe Flash for many many... years, and html5 can still not stream HD movies in fullscreen and there are not many html5-games...!
Now that even mobilephones are strong enough, quad-cores and 1Gb or more RAM..., it is simply stupid to remove support for Adobe Flash when there still are so very many webpages that still use Adobe Flash!

The key selling points of Android devices are the Flash-enabled browser, support for micro SD cards and an appropriate TABLET UI.
The Nexus 7 lacks ALL of the key selling points: no Flash, stuck with 8 or 16 gigs of storage and it has an oversized galaxy nexus UI ( same said about the iPad once it was announced ) with portrait use only ( at least the iPad has landscape option )
I was waiting for a 10" Nexus tablet ,,,,, now ,sadly , I think I'm going for an iPad,,,,,,,

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2012so because its something droid offered and now its going ou... moreExactly what advantages does Android have over WP8, that actually use the same kernel as Windows 8 and with quad-cores... easily could run exactly the same apps/software and games... as Windows 8? The ugly user-interface on WP7, with the gigantic tiles made for older people with eye-problems, are being improved, and I think moving files... to and from any Windows 8 computer will be very easy with a WP8-phone, and Nokia cameras and Microsoft Windows 8 games that easily can be adapted to run on WP8-phones, WP8 use the same kernel as Windows 8, could become a real winner if Android no longer have the only advantage of being able to stream HD flash movies in fullscreen!

What, 29 Jun 2012I'm pretty sure the reason they are dropping Flash support ... moreFirst, the default browser in 4.1 is still Android Browser.

Second, Chrome for Android does not have flash support
