This is not an America vs the World issue. Almost all of these large comglomerates have at some time stolen ideas from others. And Apple has it's own dirty hands on many an occassion - just read some of the earlier posts to see.
Maybe the court is right. And if Nexus infringes on an Apple ptent then sure, they should be made to pay for usage rights. However it's far from doing 'irreparable harm' to the highest value stock listed company on the planet - Nexus sales are barley 1/100 of iPhone.
Seems more like Apple trying to knock out the competition. And as competition is good for innovation and driving lower prices, if I were you I'd be far more angry about that.

"The Court has ruled that if the Galaxy Nexus availability continues it would cause irreparable harm to Apple in the form of lost market share."
The last part of the paragraph says it all, what business is it of the court if one company does less well than another. From an impartial point of view, this would appear to be suggesting there's a financial interest somewhere.
People will speak with their wallets and as I said before, anyone who likes Apple products will continue to buy their products.
Anyway I just watched a video about the Nexus 7 and it looks pretty good so far.

i use to like apple but know since i start to use android phones i can't go back to apple iphone and apple know who ever moved from apple to android will never go back to iphone , i admit that apple is a solid phone and software but android are just great with the notification and customisation , all google application like google navigation and maps , easy to root and install custom roms , too bad for apple they have 1 choice at the end give the user what he like and not apple restriction like .

Disgusting that apple can spit out their dummy about a phone that is superior to theirs and get it pulled over something as trivial as a search bar, especially considering that samsung own the patents for many of the components in the iphone (including their "proprietary" central button FYI).
Just out of interest, did Google ever do anything about the drag down notification menu on the iPhone that was clearly directly ripped from Android?
