If there is no Java then from where will all OS get their cross-Platform compatibility from? The extensive use of Java in Android has caused it to provide features that no other Mobile OS can come close to.

AnonD-58527, 10 Oct 20122.2 laggy 2.3.3 still laggy (promises reduce lag) 2.3.4 s... moreThey will have to make a new one only a blind fanboy can't see that the OS is laggy and with several bugs, to have the same smoothness as iOS or WP they will have to come with something new, an OS that is not made on java.

For me Google's managers are not blind as for that i believe that they are working on a new OS probably similar to the Mozilla OS.

why still figthing about os? just buy the one what you prefered. well in my case i do prefer android over ios.. android designed for multitasking thats why you need a high specs. you can minimize any app. to switch to another running different apps. at a time, while ios was designed for a single task, thats why you dont need a high specs. just one app. running at a time then stop and exit the app. to open for the other one..

so just buy the one that suits your taste... :-)

LOL... it's funny to see these android haters that keep on saying always the same thing: it lags... because android is so advanced when compared both with iOS and WP that the only thing they can say is that it lags.
First of all, if you say that the Nexus7 lags you've never used one.
Next, Android has widgets, totally customizable UI, real multitasking, you can have tons of services running in background, notifications, synchronizations... and what do haters say? It lags... who cares if it lags a bit. Android is a REAL OS and totally customizable, while iOS and WP (7 at least) are limited systems where you can control everything but you don't have the same fexibility.
So, if having a little lag sometimes is the price we have to pay to have a really powerful and configurable mobile OS, well... we simply don't care.
