out your whole basis is because you read that pentile sux from other pathetic trolls
as yourself? Most people didn't even realize the difference until they were told. And
technically since all phone screens are less than 5 subpixels all phones could be
considered pentile. And The colors are not as extreme as you claim, but more
saturated and guess what. Most people like it that way and for the few who dont for
arguments sake you can easily turn it down right in the settings. On the other side
most LCDs up til recently were way more washed up but i dont see you jealous little
trolls complaining about that. Plus the deep blacks are unbeatable as well as
sunlight legibility and viewing angles are second to none. Overall less power
consumption and less physical size and response times beyond any LCD make
them have advantage after advantage after advantage. And at the 300+ ppi of the
newer HD amoled you cant even tell pentile. Pentile just seems to have a longer life
span so far. All this and Amoled is still in early stages. And nothing else? Samsung
is also a leader in LCD technology. Amoled is the screen of the future and Tv's right
around the corner and while some of their advantage are not made out as easily on
such tiny phone screens the difference in giant tvs will blow your mind away. It will be
like nothing you have ever seen before in display technology

Mike, 24 Oct 2012Guys Samsung's OLED displays is a crap, that's what it is. ... moreIt's human nature that if you show someone not blinded by marketing hype say a Galaxy S3 and iPhone5 next to each other in a shop,they'd always (or in about 9 out 10 cases) pick the one with the brightest display,and most pleasing and highly saturated colours.Even if they're not perceived to be the most "accurate",they're still more aesthetically pleasing to the untrained eye.
Of course you must know by now as this has been explained many thousands of times by people also making the same comment as you that you can turn down the colour saturation in a matter of seconds.It comes preset on setting 3 out of 4,I have mine one lower on #2 and I reckon this is about as close as you'll get,irrespective of the PPI count or if it's Pentile or not.

They just cram pixels? what about the ND filter in ... moreSorry but I can't see where I actually told a lie,I was merely expressing my opinion.I'm actually a semi-professional photographer (it's not my main source of income)so do know what I'm talking about when it comes to expressing my opinions on matters to do with photography.It's just my opinion that the Nokia 808 is a marketing gimic crammed into an otherwise lack lustre mobile phone,not a lie but just my opinion.

I agree with everything you said, but you dont have to trash another company just because that troll doesnt know what they are talking about. PureView aside Nokia is almost always best followed by Samsung at 2nd place who takes first place at times and then Sony who sometimes may grab second and maybe even first. Though Sharp is in that mix somewhere too

Guys Samsung's OLED displays is a crap, that's what it is. They want us to get used to unrealistic, oversaturated colors. Also they want us not to see the impact of this sh..ty PenTile technology. Samsung's commited to OLED because what other can they do? Would they come out and say: "look, we can't achieve any better quality from OLED so we're switching back to LCD"? No way. This would be best but I don't expect this.
I don't believe Samsung is able to produce a 5", non-pentile, FullHD screen at this moment.

Have you even use that phone. It is okay to have an opinion of something but telling outright lies about a product? I've used Samsung s2 and s3. S2 was lagging badly until ics came out(people who used custom ics before the official ics was out had less lag and the official ics came out really late for g models outside china), and the camera can't even beat n8 so there is no need to compare it to 808 (which uses bsi sensor) and sony fans thinks their sony exmor is better because of bsi when 808 has bsi too. But i don't like the low specs in Nokia. (920 seems ok)

They did not just cram more pixels into the same sensor. You should read how the 808 pureview is done. It really is an innovation and nothing like the 12mp, 13mp camera's on other companies' phone that cram that much pixels in a 1/3 sensor size. 808 has a 1/1.2 sensor size (which is 6x larger if i calculated correctly) so the pixels were not cram but instead the same size as iphone >4 camera sensor's pixel pitch. (therefore larger sensor which captures more light, getting better details) 808 canactually oversamples pixels to create 5mp and 8mp pictures too. and is still the king in the camera department for phones. Just cramming 41mp on a 1/3 sensor will produce terrible imagges but nokia didn't do that. So you can say that nokia stayed with 8mp, the best 8mp picture that can be taken with a phone. (samsung maybe ahead in other hardware spec but when it comes to camera, they are lagging) If you find my post confusing,go read webpages that details how it works. also for... moreYes. Everyone said lets keep Mali 400 forever because we like only that. And on top of that how are Samsung the ones being cheap when the did reuse the Mali 400 but beafed it up while everyone else changed what they had. Just goes to show how powerful the stuff Sammy uses.
And the Exynos 5450 with 2GHz Quad Core A-15 and Malit T-648 GPU will be so much better

I am big Sammy fan but this is getting ridiculous my GSII is the max screen size 4.2" I would go, if you want to go lager why not get a tablet 7"???? I get the thing about innovation but why not better battery performance?? I don't know of a Smartphone owner who wouldn't want more juice for his phone,how about a 4"-4.2" Galaxy with battery that will last 3-4 days with heavy usage or even a battery with kinetic charging??? All this 16MP cameras do is fill up space no wonder people want 64G sd cards.If Sammy wants better photos better the optics.I think 5mp-8mp is more than enough on a phone if you want better than that buy a NIKON/CANON

Chinese LCD phone screens are that bad they are offensive.Like all Chinese copies.
China likes to assemble western designs at low cost for us users/consumers and generally making their own copies of it are a bad product reverse engineered copy as usual.

They were happy with the older Mali400 yet again to help save samsung money but liked paying high price for it. Very good fans helping because of the Apple court win and that few billion dollar fine samsung has.
I perfer HTC myself. HOX+ will rock.
probably get 2ghz out the Terga3 with overclock and the higher yield chips.
Maybe an hour in the freezer and get 2.46GHz out of it
for a game before it warms up to much.
