Aaron, 06 Nov 2012I don't see why HTC are continually doing bad. For me they ... moreit's not only the desire c...there are many other devices cheaper than desire c and with ICS...

I'd like to add poor design too. My DHD died the other day. I was talking on the phone in an humid afternoon and my sweat somehow got into the phone and took away the display. How does sweat get into a phone?

And it is not true that HTC customers want sleek designs rather than a good battery. I had to keep an extra battery to just survive the day. 8 hours max and then plug in the fresh battery.

I think they should make 4 phones: 1. Phablet, 2. Flagship, 3. Mid-range and 4. Entry-level. There could be variants of the four like LTE ones or one with qwerty. That way it is easier to update when needs be. and breaking promises to customers don't help.

HTC promised ICS for DHD but then changed its mind. Now I own a galaxy note.

The forefathers of smartphones was Palm and Qtek aka HTC. One dead, one dying.

Zeake, 06 Nov 2012Htc's Problems. This is Why they suck and will CONTINUE to ... moreactually, HTC's profit is going down cause thier phones are GARBAGE. period. since the day i first remember HTC coming out in norht america, i rememeber issues with screens, with cameras, with speakers, with hardware keyboards... Even last year, 4 of thier TOP selling phones had major hardware issues mainly including screen problems.

Fact is, wen you look at just quality of hardware, nokia, sony, apply, and Motorola are leaders.. samsung is okay too. But LG and HTC are the WORST!

Htc was the king of android 3-4 years ago but 2 years ago they have lost the momentum (no more top notch display when they went from amoled to slcd, used old scorpion arhitecture instead of tegra or ti) and now these are the results of those actions/decisions tha have been made back then.
Now they have changed the strategy but it is very difficult to regain the market that was lost as in the markrt there is a new leader and new players (huawei, zte, so) and older players that are doing a recovery race (sony, lg, motorola)).
And it is true that they have some quality control issues not solved yet.
If u do not innovate constantly and made smart choices none is forever on top/alive!

                Sad state of affairs.
Like the piddling batteries they (HTC) fit to their smartphones, they're running out of puff to quickly!!
C'mon HTC, it's as rough as guts out there in the smartphone market place, you need to do something pretty spectacular right now.

Only HTC problem is marketing. Who says that they are doing crappy phones is eather using Sammy or didn't have any HTC at all. Their phones are still great, they will come back, they just need to put some money in marketing and comerials.

My father has one htc radar and so far top notch. Solid phones and for me the only manufacturer whi does it right close to apple standards. Hope they increase sales in the near future.

This is what happens when you refuse to market yourself. The number of billboards,full-page newspaper Ads,and endless rigorous facebook/twitter hype etc for the SIII I've seen here in Kenya is massive.Htc isn't even recognised. Then they launch the one X and price it as the Note II,and don't forget the Sensation, yes their 2011 duo-core fiasco is priced almost the same as the SIII.Htc simply needs to wake up and stop playing Apple.

Htc's Problems. This is Why they suck and will CONTINUE to lose money.

                                        1. Too many phones. Way to many.
                                        2. No updates.
                                        3. Bad UI. Sense is GARBAGE!!!
                                        4. Phone button placement
It should be Menu-> Home-> Back (Nothing else)
                                        5. No qwerty phones.
                                        6. No penta band phones.

HTC should follow apple and apple should follow Steve Jobs.
