Except for the small fonts N9 is a great device. I have it for a few months. Working well! Expecting from Jolla to upgrade and develop it in even more practical way - but don't forget - most of us need a phone, not a toy!

if they manage to solve the fragmentation issue with android without sacrificing the multi-tasking abilities this will be a worthy contender in the smartphone market

Good to know. BTW Unless they come up with an intuitive way as using java syntax and library style for Android Dev. I don't think it will get much base

His nails look well trimmed, they justa aren't trimmed short. Perhaps he needs the nails to play an instrument.

Almost EVERYONE I've seen actually *using* a WP phone (as opposed to just having seen it) loves the tiles. WP may lack the app ecosystem, but it's UI is by far the best I've ever seen.

Sailfish looks like Android and WP combined, but with a lot more complications instead of using a few hardware keys.

Sailfish OS supports Android apps, so no problems with the lack of apps.

If jolla will support android app, why dont they sell their own android device with their own framework? Such as samsung?. The design is horrible of the GUI, extremly complicate to move between windows, left, right, etc. Also i notice some lags on the GUI. Better release an android device than this obsolete phone. No developers will code for sailfish 1 sale phone in the world phone.

i am so tired of all this operating systems. i had it all: symbian, android, meego, ios and now since 2 weeks i moved on windows 8. i have the sensation that all these things are tested on us directly like lab rats, all seems to be unfinished and give immense headache. i am so tired to learn new gestures, menus, settings hidden and make accounts and clouds and passwords and problems to move the data between old and new smartphone. it is a mess. now, after all the experiments om my own money i can say that apple ios is the best because it is simple, stable and very well supported

I've read all the comments. Most if people here don't know much about Sailfish. For the app lovers, it'll support Android apps also porting apps to sailfish is easy. SDK is open for developers to give more ideas about it. MeeGo based N9 does not have two many apps but people really loved it. Now it has more than 2000 apps and all the necessary apps for a smartphone. These apps can be ported perfectly within hours. Right now it does not have ecosystem but it has community. Literally the must genius people are there. N900 And N9 users know this.
The Pully menu is amazing if you have noticed that.
Ambiance is also an amazing thing.
The best thing it is a true multitasking OS. Apps don't get freeze when you send them to background. Right now 9 apps can be run simultaneously. You can kill any app any time. Tap and hold home screen and kill all the apps you want to. The icons are not the best, they know that and working on that. And last thing its still a work in progress. I hope it'll be better when device is launched.
Also you can ask anything on twitter and Jolla will reply you. They really listen to us.

Well, it's not EXTENSIVELY. They're yet again showing three same things: multitasking, lockscreen, address book. Nothing more. I am realy curious about messaging, settings, email, android compatibility, camera functioality, codec support, music player and about 100 more things.

But hey, have another look at the same things we demoed two months before :)
