There is an optimum specification, why release a multitude of phones that aren't quite good enough and give a poor user experience.

There are about 8 or 9 galaxy devices available widely now. The SIII is the one that works best. There is 1 new iDevice. So it makes sense that there should only be 1 WP8 device from any manufacturer. Focus on quality.

Good for Microsoft. But i think its more down to Nokia as well. Nokia has sold more windows products than anyone. Its growing just like all other os had to. The only way is up. .

I recently purchased a WP8 phone and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made! It is dire, it is awful, it is... indescribably BAD.
I don't like the keyboard that comes with it. I think I will change I think.. No you won't say MS, you will keep the one we give you and like it.
I don't like the unfriendly messaging application. I will change it I think... No you won't say MS, you will keep the one we give you and like it.
That is the problem, you can't customise it to suit the way you want it, you HAVE to keep what MS think you want; and what they give you is AWFUL.
The phone I purchased, a Nokia Lumia 820, is now at the top of my cupboard gathering dust; it will never be used.

It was about 2.7million windows phones in Q4/2011. This would result at something like 10-12 m. for Q4/2012... a bit depending on October... I think you can trust in what Ballmer said, as he would be sued by investors if it would be a lie... this is a significant achievement considering that the most important products haven't even been launched globally by now

U forgot what is an open source and a closed propriety system. Linux is an open OS in desktop and their phone OS versions as their source codes are released to developers. Windows PC OS and WP OS are those where app tools were available for the developers to develop apps like for Linux, but U don't have access to the source codes of their PC/WP OS!!! So ur argument is empty fanboy!

MS tried and failed too many times now, cant deny that all MS mobile OS' has flopped, WP8 included.
