You have wrong figures in the article, please check the source again.

From the article: "Nokia's Devices & Services department is reporting €2.5 billion in net sales, nearly half of which (€1.2 billion) coming from Smart devices (note that Nokia is counting its Asha full touch phones as smarthpones)."

Actually it is €2.5 billion net sales for Mobile Devices (which includes Ashas) and €1.2 billion net sales for Smart Devices on top of that. All in all Devices & Services net sales were €3.9 billion, which also includes €0.2 billion from other net sales (such as RIMs €50 million licensing payment).

Yah... They talk about that and its probable causes.. Big cache files, it come and go when installing apps.. oh, BTW b4 you posted it here its been days that i have read this.. lol... :)

I personally think Nokias are slow and boring but they are doing ok with their Lumias and ashas, decent build quality, too. Well done Nokia.

im so happy for Nokia cause it really deserves being the best. no other brand except Sony can compete with Nokia in elegance and quality. wish both of them the best.

Uf! I'm sick of these fanboys . Not just android but windows , iphone , Blackberry etc., too.. For till now my experience is they just fool and misguide "normal" people like us.. Cos they are just bunch of geeks who cant be satisfied even if they are given inbuilt teleporter in their phones.
Now from using a LOT of phones in last few years i've learnt this ..
Basically all smartphone os are one and the same but differs only by the way of usage and number of apps ! Its like two same T-shirts with spiderman and superman pictures with light bulbs. They look different cos there is different picture on them and one's light glow when you tap on it while the other glow when you shake it ! But basically they are two same t-shirts.
Till now i've owned nokia c2-01 , samsung galaxy s plus , Blackberry 8520 , iphone 4 (of which blackberry was a gift but i gave it away cos my operator charged me for using messenger so i gave it away). My dad had a nokia n72 and a galaxy note 2 which he bought cos most of his colleagues had it while my brother had galaxy r then a lumia 800 and then took away my iphone. Every one of these phones were good in their own way but every phone went down as they were "upgraded"(except nokia c2-01 cos it didn't had one). After that they weren't as good as feature phones too ! But the one i really didn't understand was note 2 cos it was a fantasy device like some super-spy watch that does everything but tell time that is it had somany features but calling and texting isn't easy at all for people who are not so much technological. So companies please just dont make phones with lots of features and lots of cores but also make them easier to use without too much complications. So my suggestion is dont go with phones based on os but based on build quality and customer service of the company with which u'll have a rather better experience.

By the time of 2014 .. Android phones will grow to 6 ~ 7 inch size..

People that cannot upgrade their hands for those huge handsets will go back iOS/WP8 nokia because their phones despite low specs still will operate lag free.

samsung phones are good in performance but after using a few generations, customers start to get bored. Humans are always looking for new things after 3-4 years. So, 2013 is still Samsung year. But in 2014 onwards, it should start goign down.

No phone makers can remain leader forever.

WP8 is growing, and no use denying it. At the same time, seems like Android development is stagnating. Maybe because with each new iteration, less and less users upgrade, with over half users still on Gingerbread.

Like iOS, WP8 doesnt' suffer from this problem, making it an exciting platform for developers (and manufacturers) to jump into.
