Based on my experience, it is very pleasing. Although it is not like what I expect(like SXZ), but I quite satisfied with it. Performance improve, temple run 2 works better. Mostly I used this phone as a phone, not for gaming(use iPod 4th gen. for games).

I think its all just MARKETING to be honest. I see everybody commenting on why Xperia J is getting JB while other dual core phones are not getting. The reason I think is the looming Galaxy S4.

In its current state, Xperia J is the one which will probably get abandoned most by users wanting the Galaxy S4. Its the weaker link among the midrange devices. Also, people often upgrade from mid-range to high end. So the Xperia J is on shaky ground with existing owners. But users are less likely to suddenly dump this fone if it gets an update. And this device probably sold more than the other dual cores like Sola, so they have to "protect" it. Its the one in the greatest danger of being replaced, so to try and make it a little bit sweeter for owners, they throw in an update hoping that you will enjoy the update and wont feel the need to immediately dump it when the Galaxy S4 comes.

I think thats why there seems to have been so many other JB updates this week - Droid Razr - Droid Razr Max - HTC One X. They have all been around for a while and are in real danger of being replaced if they don't come up with something new. They are all preparing for the storm.

Already installed the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update on my Xperia J the day before this article was posted. Performance-wise, everything is definitely way smoother than the previous Android version (still has a bit of lag though) and the animations are fluid enough. A little disappointed with the fact that there is little difference in the overall UI and pinch to zoom has been omitted from the homescreen. Still, I strongly encourage anyone with the Xperia J to update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. And anyone who wants to buy it should go for it if your budget is limited and you don't need much multitasking. This phone can even handle Real Racing 3 and
