Its the manufacturer itself. They can update the devices, they have the choices, but they choose not to. So blame the manufacturer if your android smartphone is not getting updates. Google do update their Nexus devices to the latest android version as long as the device meets the minimum requirement for the update.

" Motorola
will reportedly guarantee at least one
full Android version update after the phone has been purchased and will
take care of the update process itself,
and not the carrier. "

Talking about android, only the
top ends are updated, rest are left on to Timelord, even the top ends are left
in a limbo after a year. That's android. But apple gives you updates for the 3+ years you're paying off the phone. Microsoft do the same thing with their windows phone os. No thanks google. That's why open source is sucks. Because no responsibility.

  • worldwide? nexus?

1. will it be available at the google play store worldwide? or only at selected markets - like the current nexus is restricted only to specific regional google play sites?

2. would x devices by motorola be nexus devices? if they talk about only one update, it seems that it's not a nexus device...

hmmmm... its gonna be the next brand what htc used to be. htc f***ed all their reputation of being dev friendly after locking bootloaders. looking forward for Moto X devices.

my perfect x phone would be: 4.7 inch screen at least, 128gb of internal memory or a 64gb version with micro SD slot, removable battery or otherwise a battery like the one on the maxx,IR sensor for remote control, this are the priorities, if Google/Motorola want to compete with Samsung it better have all this qualities or better.

RAZR is a better brand than the letter "X". Google, stop poking your ugly nose into Motorola's better tastes!

Lets see...
no specs released...
no form factor announced...
no word on what software it will run...

Yet many of you have already compared it the S4, and many of you have already called it a failure or success...

Good luck with your inane discussions about nothing...

haters gonna hate.
fanboys gonna be in love with it no matter if it sucks or not.
and trolls, well...trolls be trolling...
