O2 has done that before even with model htc One X+ and the excuse was they are taking care of the environment also their explanation was: Most of the customers already have chargers and usb cables etc etc.

You always whine and complain. If you dont want that, then dont buy from 02! You all make it such a big deal! No one forces you to buy at 02.

Only problem is not every phone requires the same voltage. Speaking from experience, if you charge a phone with a voltage higher than stated, it has terrible side effects on battery. Can't just use any plug to charge an electrical device, eg tablets require more voltage than phones. Hence told not to use 3rd party accessories, if lower then its fine but if more then it can ruin the battery performance. O2 should advise more clearly in regards to this, or else more phones will be booked in for repair, and considering some phones have shorter warranty periods than others, especially battery

well , this is really the most stupid thing i have ever heart .... they may use the same charging method but how you can charge a 2300 mAH battery with a 1000 mAH battery charger , and not to forget about different voltages for different batteries .

My charger that came with my Galaxy S3 is still in the box. Phone's should come without charger but give the option of having a wall plug for free should you be the 0.0000000001% of the world that doesn't already have one.
