It's still the same statistics approximately that is carried out by many researchers android is still over 50% of the market share iOS around 39 with 2 + or 2 - difference and WP around 5% while BB and Symbian are falling as usual , it will be interesting to see a real conflict between those top 3 OS's as almost all of their market shares increases are on the expense of the market shares of BB and Symbian.

AnonD-1227, 03 Jun 2013You can't trust this statistics because as a matter of FACT... moreI agree with you that RIM isn't the correct company name anymore since they were renamed BlackBerry, but the stats may still be correct..to a somewhat degree.

You can't trust this statistics because as a matter of FACT RIM no longer exists. It is now BlackBerry. Kantar, Get the facts right first then your statistics will be believable.

symbianfan, 03 Jun 2013if Nokia continue symbian, nokia yet be KINGI beg to differ. Nokia was with Symbian with N8 and 808 PureView but it didn't go well as the market had already been taken away from Symbian. Apple and Android domination was started from that day when Nokia became a bit like IBM. I still remember what happened with IBM, search and read about "Wall Street Crisis" in America.
Summarizing, IBM was a tech-giant once and the only manufactures who produce computers. As an example, a computer worth 2000$. IBM kept those prices as static in thoughts, no one can surpass IBM(What Nokia was thinking on the golden days of Symbian) and thus they left a hole on the wall opened. Thus some other manufactures arise and introduced computers having same specifications like IBM but at 30% less prices. So companies, as they always target to keep their cost of production low. Therefore, they have purchased those computer who were cheaper than IBM and thus the recession in IBM started. Many employees were unemployed and downfall of IBM took place.

This is what happened with Nokia. If they continued with Symbian then today, they will be no more.

AnonD-149678, 03 Jun 2013(We) are just the users that know how to use a phone correc... moreNot only Android users, every other platform user wants his phone to run smoothly. On the contrary, there are some brands who works smooth from the day of purchase to the day of disposal.

Furthermore, I would also like to add, I have a pretty decent laptop for gaming since I can't play much on my PC as business activities outside of the country. The laptop is pretty damn fast with an i7 process, 8 gigs of ram and a 2 GB GPU but despite of being super fast, I am still facing problems with the laptop as time passes, it's performance is decreasing. So to keep it on track, I have installed some utility programs.

Summarizing, running a heavy machinery, some day some time, you'll eventually found out a decrease in performance after several period of usage so it's normal. Like I know how to keep my laptop running smoothly, I am sure Android users also know how to keep it running smoothly.

It does have lag and you can't deny it but it's effect has been reduced significantly from the arrival of Jelly bean. Project butter smooth thus killed some lag but as I quoted, "It is not lag free". Why? Because its a man made coded OS and every thing which is made by man 'can never ever be perfect'. As relating Windows Phone and iPhone Operating system, they are sure smoother than Android but they also have lag. I am not going to be blind and write, "they are lag free" or other stuff because what's true will remain true.

                                    Then lets see.

We are that ahead with android, we even didn't mind
Google helping out Apple with their Maps.
In fact , it's been praised., ask any Android user here. The current custom Roms with 4.3 are awesome. So we are no hurry for
                                    5 yet anyway.

We are not scared one bit.
Note 3 with 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 800 is coming
to teach a lesson in user power against
WP still crippled with old slow duos.

I bet wp+nokia is gonna corner 10% marketshare by end of 2013 n come 2015 stephen elop will be hailed as the next Steve Jobs. Ok the elop part was exaggerated but what the hell. But here in India 520 n 720 really selling amazing in urban centres. Its the top end which still needs addressing. Maybe the 925, eos n rumoured phablet will take care of that. Many android users are frustated with the lag issues and dont want to opt for ios. Wp8 is a serious option.

People all use Custom ROMs and Kernels now.
Seeder app has been very successful in stopping lag
and with Root access it's easy and people use light launchers like Nova.

Lag has been a lie since Jellybean stop it all.

So stop using your underpowered Samsung Ace!
