same US political bullshit like always, if you can't stop them - slow them down. restrictions make such companies even stronger, they are forced to develop their own solutions. and believe me, they do it...

Need to understand why so many countries has problems with China? US, S.Korea, Philippines, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc.

So, no need to bash anyone and let the government do their job. I hope they know better than us. We already have too many options to purchase the gadgets which is best available in the Country.

      Both parties are at loss.
Huawei will be in trouble immediately but will recover after some time.
Qualcomm/Intel will lose a customer- not only huawei but also other Chinese companies.
Samsung is focusing on exynos so no big customer for Qualcomm.
There is tough time coming for Qualcomm.

If î remember correctly, there was a rumor about chip for PC in the works by Huawei, now being at a level of Apple's M3.
If this rumor become true, Intel can forget about Chinese market.

hurt the most is intel & qualcomm but still need to contribute same amount of taxes

It's going to be real interesting to see how this plays out. I want more cometition and the US is trying hard to suppress the competition by any means. If I can help the underdogs by supporting Huawei or chienese products I would. Why? Because we know what lack of competition does. Look at Intel when AMD wasn't a threat. Look at Apple after they became dominant. Little to no progress or innovation. We need competent and free competition. None of this "do as we say or we'll pull your license crap". Huawei has a chance to become a powerhouse without strong ties to the main industry and their limitations/licensing. That's great for consumers.

I'd be first to be critical of Huawei if they grow to big. This isn't the case now. Now they are clearly being bullied.

Back then, Huawei made great strides into 5G and even made deals with many countries (even EU countries) to provide 5G infrastructure. That made the US afraid, as Huawei is progressing too advance for their comfort.

                                  Well, there's still AMD.
And I fail to see the point of this kind of policy. This will only create higher level of patriotism amongst the Chinese. And it will only push Huawei to innovate further. Besides, the Chinese are good at reverse engineering. Just look at their EV advancements.
