And there is the only announced octa-core mobile CPU - that is 8-core Cortex A7 inside of Mediatek MT6592 SoC. Exynos 5410 and 5420 are quad-core. Qualcomm MSM8960DT (Moto X8) is a cheap, budget, cut version of Snapgragon 600 with 2-core Krait instead of 4.

For the record, all high end ones have Quad core processors, Octa-core processor based mobiles are not out in the market yet AFAIK

Moto and Google have no respect for non US markets. Why would we want an inferior version of what Americans get? I thought Moto would change with this product- they launch like this; 1.start a rumour mill about a fantastic product 2.finally release it well below expected spec 3.Tell your non US customers they won't get it but a cheaper version will be made available! I refuse to say this is a typical US strategy because Apple don't do this. An iPhone has the same name, same spec and same support worldwide. I have a Motorola Razri and its great but this attitude towards me, a non-US customer leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
