Nokia are close to being in the top 5. They shipped 8 million Lumia phones last quarter. I think in Q4 or Q1 next year they will finally manage to achieve 10 million sales per quarter.

Or the alleged Z1S :]z1f looks like a good phone, its not out yet, who knows when it will be released and how much would it be compared to an Iphone 5S, also looks like it has 16GB storage, these days a power user will require at least 32Gb more likely 64 GB... its a shame, same as the Nexus 5 (only 32GB max), I see its got a SD card slot, can you transfer all the apps files to there, what is the sound latency like for music apps, this is where Iphone is the whole package...

At all the Samsung haters,Samsung has you coming up with the most bizarre crap ever,plenty of other phone makers also flood the market,plenty of other phone makers make low ends,yet Samsung is the only android and WP maker than can sell +40 million of one expensive high end device,you all need to get over that. Sadly your favorite manufacturers just can't take Samsung on.
Huawei seems to be the only one making major strides.

Samsung are selling a lot of lower end phones pushing too new emerging markets. Apple don't care as they target the niche, this shows by app store figures where revenue is higher than the play store, im not a fanboi, I have a HTC ONE and Iphone 5, both awesome phones!!

Also Samsung is both an American and Korean company. Samsung has many manufacturing and research facilities in the USA which employs hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. A lot of Samsung's profits go to the US economy.
Samsung and Apple are both very American. BTW, a lot of Apple's profits go to China because all iPhones and iPads are made in China.
A lot of Samsung's Research and Development are done in the USA. Samsung has many partnerships and ownerships over American companies like Corning (which makes Gorilla Glass for smartphones), Seagate and has partnerships with Google and Intel.
So buying a Samsung smartphone benefits the US economy.

Huawei is 3rd? LOOOOOOOOOOOL. They make the crappiest phones ever. I'd know, I'm using their Ascend M860 as my daily driver. Worst phone in the history of phones. Very surprising to see them listed at all.

Samsung is much more diversified and has more infrastructure and machinery robots to manufacture more smartphones. Samsung Electronics is the biggest and most advanced technology company in the world by revenue.
Samsung sells smartphones for the rich, middle-class and poor. Even its "poor" smartphones are very advanced. The Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S3 Mini are very cost-efficient.
Apple sells phones for the poor as well. Look at the iPhone 5C!
