Samsung sold 88 million smartphones, Apple only sold 33 million.
And Samsung made more net profits ($8.7 billion USD) than Apple ($8.5 billion USD). Samsung crushed Apple in operating profits as well.
Looks like Apple is losing steam.

Samsung sell more phones considering they flood the market by releasing new variants of the same phone every month. We already know this. But Apple earn the most profit from selling only one phone each year. Apple devices are not meant to be at the hands of every person anyway. They are only catered to the rich and affluent. There are more poor people than rich that's why more Samsung phones are sold than iPhones.
