[deleted post]Okay, you think you know much more than these researchers who found the flaws in the security program named Knox? Cool. LOL. How childish.

[deleted post]A lot of logic is required to counter such a comment which is simply undeniable posted by me and since you lack that, you couldn't come up with anything better to counter it. Read it again and try to understand the logic behind it. Calling someone a fanboy who truly is a fanboy isn't childish. Simply put, you've been hurt by the comment I made, that's why you're going off the topic again. If you weren't a fanboy in the first place, you'd haven't been hurt by that. Let's see what you can come up with. Lol

I caused quite a stirring with my "failure" word, so let me explain what my definition for failure is!

Samsung made such great phones, starting with their feature phones many years ago. There are many great devices, well known for their stability, and virtual indestructibility. And the last one the list (chronologically) is - enter the famous Galaxy S3! Let aside the fact that it had some bugs itself, it was truly a revolutionary device, well crafted (the "plastic" on it doesn't bother me), wery well specced, nice design, great display... I have no words, at its time that was THE best device in the world, IMO! ... and, here we have the problem: after this big hit, is very hard to over-do it! And here we have the S4: well specced, nice design, overfeatured (IMO), quite buggy... It sales well - no word on it! But let's see why! IMO, the sales volume is based on the reputation, because it walks on the steps of such great devices, and because of the fact that the smartphone market is full of... overheating, lack of card slots and removable batteries, and 4 Mpix cameras... Yes, comparing to those devices, sure it's the best choice! But comparing to what the S3 was at its time, and adding to the mix what the KNOX and the regional lock mean to the normal user, the S4 is IMO the definition of a failure. The market can forget and forgive a fail, but keep in mind what happen when you piss off the users! Nokia has a trademark for this.

My advice to Samsung: dont piss off the users with intended limitations and immature firmware updates, because it could prove to be quite... expensive. It's very easy to slide to a smaller market share, but very hard to come back. Don't lose the good reputation of reliable and user (developer) friendly smartphone manufacturer!

And with this, I downgraded my position to Samsung from FAN to USER. I keep an eye on them.

The most secure network in the world is the one that is turned off. BB RIP.

I assume you are joking? It took them over a year to update the N2 from Android 4.1.2 and they had to almost immediately withdraw it becuase of problems. It was the same with the S3 and S4. It just didn't take quite as long with the S4 as it has not been out as long.

Oh please. Don't try to be an expert, you are certainly not. The fact that this Knox software is especially made for spying on what people are doing with their phones has been proven by these researchers. It's a well known fact that, If a company makes something and the other company uses it and finds flaws in it then the company that made it will try their best to deny the fact that it doesn't have a flaw. Samsung is doing the same thing here. No wonder. I see all the Samsung fanboys crying over this and trying their best to deny this, well no matter how many times you deny it, this is a fact. Thankfully I sold that crappy S4 earlier this month.

All the people with the negative comments sound ridiculous, the phone still works the same and does what is is meant to do, in regards to the knox security hole, it will be addressed by Samsung in no time, just like any other manufacturer that develops security software, all security software has flaws that can be compromised, there is not one security software that is bullet proof, ask the NSA, they are hacking into anything they want with ease.

So failure is an extreme exaggeration. Especially when it offers more and better than things than most devices. Even newer ones.

"Failure" is a sweeping word. A device may not meet all that it promised, but probably a hundred other devices are inferior to the S4 in different ways. What does it take to fix this? An update! I don't think it's a "failure", and definitely the market doesn't either. The figures say it all.

Everybody has the right to an opinion, isn't it? For me S4 is a failure. A GOOD phone, is not good in some areas and bad in others. IMO S4 is, well, plagued with bugs. This is not "GOOD" in my book. Yeah, as I said, good specs, good display, SD slot of course - very important, but firmware-wise... Not good enough for me.

How is a "failure" when it's among the best devices?
Because of it's screen, ergonomics, sd slot, removable battery, multitude or "optional" features and services, air guesters, and over all flexibility it is still an overall better package than most newer devices with S800...and Now has an S800 version in areas.
