The Man , 26 Dec 2013The s4 is a complete failure? Its a shame when most people ... moreWho do you mean by "people"?

Yeah, for me S4 is a failure. Do you have a problem with this?

Samsung is now on a wrong direction and feedback is needed. There were times when Samsung made good, reliable phones. I can't say this anymore about them. For me Samsung are quite nice and good specced devices. But reliable?! Don't thing so. As I say, I'm a Samsung user.

@ The Man: one more allusion to my intelligence and you have a report. Have a nice day! :)

techknow, 26 Dec 2013Personally i don't think android can be safe n secure. Goog... moreLess secure than and not secure are not the same. So know what you are saying before you start sputing crap and telling others not to troll.
Nothing is invulnerable. Android is no where near this infested environment people like to pretend it is and the rare occasions that happen are generally from fiddling outside of "Google's" version of Android as you like to put it.

              Regional lock..Not so cool..

You think Samsung is the only company to ever do something like that? How naive are you? And you probably do not even know about HTC's CEO pigheadedly bashing on Samsung before hand.

Well, if you are just ordinary people, dont worry to much with security unless you are a politician, drug cartel, terrorist, having affair or other criminal. The worst case ordinary people will encountered is cheated when buying online, or stolen identity.

rrig_UK, 26 Dec 2013Is the galaxy s4 designed for the government, nsa, gchq etc... moreYou can read about those kind of issues with all phones. I have seen more dead batteries and screens on htc devices at random.
Iphones like 4-5 especially have had problems for years now since updates of not being able to use wifi/bluetooth, camera flash not working, dropped calls, battery bugs, crashed apps, some people even not being able to use their 3g unless they are in wifi..???Weird. And it's all the users responsibility if they don't have warranty.

Personally i don't think android can be safe n secure. Google will need to fork android upside down for Google's version of android to even compete with bb. And before ignorant people start trolling, there is a difference between aosp and Google's version of android.

How can the S4 be a complete failure? I am an owner of a S4. I admit that it has its own flaws but it is a great phone too. Try your S4 (if you have one) some time before commenting nonsense

                            Don't miss this:
"Samsung has denied the severity of the vulnerability and has argued that the handset which was tested did not have all of Knox's features installed."

Let's see how will end this story , before judging.
Many times so far, Samsung was attacked with paid manipulations BS like:
                            Cheating with benchmarks
                            Regional lock
Taiwan firm hiring students to bash HTC(Taiwan)-lol

The news came out considerably quite late. Because the researcher that found this vulnerability from Israel has contacted Samsung before the news has been published and Samsung patched this vulnerability within 2 days. If I'm not mistaken.

                              Thanks.

(3310 here i go) and stop using those phones today if you want to secure your personal info/data.

Doesn't it look like a little bit exaggerated ? There is something "fruity" behind all this ? I mean i know sam's not an angel and it has its part of "technical issues" but as soon as the fact came out that the "major competitor" is going to penetrate the "govt-market" which was reserved exclusively for fruit companies untill now (where the "smaller-safer-black" fruit is not the one who has probably done it . The more likely is a bigger fruit with "a-chunk-already-bitten-from-it") . Especially the use of terms like "serious vulnerability" that obviously have a kind of psychological effect on human mind (like the "i thought - i felt - i feel" stuff they pull on to make customers buy their products) . I seriously feel the jealousy of some " 'Job'-less " people in fear of losing their home ground to a "thought-dumber-than-them-till-now" despite being "Geniuses" in the business !!! Hey , I'm not targeting anyone ;-P - Xei Monger

As wise man said, never use any security program that's not open source.

Security by obscurity will never work, because it only means secure for specific people, not everyone.
Biggest issue is by the time people find holes & weakness on those, it's already too late.
