Sounds like more nonsense to me. It either launches and will have Play store or this whole story was bull from the start.

AnonD-168908, 28 Jan 2014The people who get this phone should just download aptoide ... morethen you get bombarded by ads.. and the apps you install send your data on suspicious servers all over the world.. then you come here complaining about "NSA is invading your privacy"

Green, 28 Jan 2014Play store - not necessary. can just install .apk file ... moreExactly, you could even install apps from a Google Play supported device and send those applications (using ES file explorer for example) by bluetooth to any Android device.

I know it is an experiment from nokia but why the hell would it start with a low end device? atleast make it mid end so people might be attracted to buy them... i don't know if people really go for low end anymore, especially when "mid end" are so cheap nowadays...

The people who get this phone should just download aptoide off the internet: its the same thing as the playstore just everything is free!

Green, 28 Jan 2014Play store - not necessary. can just install .apk file ... moreIs it that easy?
Didnt you read, its not google certified phone at all. play store WILL NOT work after you 'install' the apk.

its not just another custom ROM that you can play with.

It won't need Google support. It'll have HERE mapping services, Nokia Store and it allows side loading.

Considering where this will be sold, Goofle is unnecessary.

I've got high hopes on the build quality, I've not been disappointed with Nokia on that front. I don't expect it be a success without google support though.
