And now you just contradict your self. So whats the use of 64gb when 800 pics ocupy 6gb? Anyway, i said that i had everything i needed installed in it(games, apps, music whatever) and more then 100 pics (which is already to much for my taste) and still had left 9gb of mem (meaning free space). So why in the world i will need a card slot when 1020 has 32 from withc 28 are for the user. For me, is more then enough, cause, as i was saing. I'm organized and don't like keeping useless stuff in my devices. Delete them or transfer them to pc, then delete what i don,t like...

firstly this is leaked info, next if you use the lumia 1020 you'd say otherwise, it's overall great advice especially with WP 8.1 Developer Preview, use first then made judgments, don't make rash decisions

Seems a shame as its an extraordinary phone. But I guess there most be something better on the way. Cant think how you would top this. Quad core will not cut it as wp os doesn't really need it

With nothing else to count on, I wasn't really incline to get it for its camera (only). As I stated, I don't need the overkill resolution.

TheNeighbor, 14 Jul 2014This is currently being sold at $200 now in the Philippines... more1520 @ $250 please get me one. But i'm pretty sure its a lie Windows Phones are no where available I've been craving to get one of it since I used Lumia 920.

Windows is really fun to use and if android is being used by more than 60% people it doesn't mean its as good as Windows Phone 90% of the people in this world are stupid. I own an Android and have used Windows that was a billion times better than this Buggy OS

Carol, 14 Jul 2014I don,t know when i ever gonna fill this memory but then ag... moreI don't need mural sized resolutioned photos. 100 pics at 9GB is already very large!? That's my point. Yeah, one can lower the resolution and just take large ones when needed... which will be very rare for me. I already have something that does 9 to 12 MP which is enough, and 800+ pictures and show videos only occupy some 6 GB on my 64GB memory.

I download lots of torrents too, which isn't ideal when you need to plug in by late afternoon to top of the power from the LTE to last to the night. My $200 will be a waste, and no deal for the 1520 too as I simply can't pocket that 6".

I'm not against WP platform, as I have also just bought the Windows RT based Surface 2. There are plans of merging those 2 platforms into one OS by 2015.

To be honest, the only way is up (there's a song about that) for Windows now...

Android (still using it since my HTC Hero days - but this year I'm jumping to 8.1) has pretty much plateaued - which is fine, it's at a non-laggy smooth state... but people like change, and I can't see it now progressing in any great way shape / form... just subtly being 'refined'...

For me, it's the complete lack of a tangible Android ecosystem - I have a monster PC and I want a Windows phone that feeds into that and eventually a Surface tablet that feeds into THAT... Android is still lacking against Microsoft and Apple in that respect...

The update / software fragmentation / company own skins / etc. makes it less appealing each time (many phones still not on Kitkat, let alone the forthcoming Android L) and I have to say, bar the K Zoom / S4 Zoom series - Android's camera is still behind the Lumia range's quite significantly...

So... 1030 please and that's my Xmas upgrade sorted!
                      :)

I like Android (I own an S4 and previously owned a S1 and S3 galaxy) because it allows me to configure it and use it with a lot more devices on the market now (including wearables etc.) but whenever I have to pick just one phone to have with me - it's always my 1020. For all my tech-geek friends Android is always the recommendation I make.
However, WP with 8.1 is a leap my miles from WP 8.0.
Apps not available on WP are not to blame on the platform, but on the developers/owners who choose to postpone their release. I have developed apps for WP 7 just for fun - it's a lot easier than for Android/IOS from my point of view (code-wise).
From my point of view, WP OS sits perfectly somewhere in between IOS and Android, providing a quick, fluid, simple interface and user experience with most of the functionality found on Android phones.
Hardware-wise, WP 8.1 makes the previously mentioned discrepancies between WP devices and Android become irrelevant.
If I would have to give either my S4 or my 1020 up, I would denounce the Sam. Although there are things my 1020 can't yet do, the 1020 is like an everyday present.

I'm organized and don't keep what i don't use or need just to have a lot of stufs in it. My n8 with "just" 16gb mem. Was never full. Never, in 2 years. And i had everything i needed in it. And when there wad like 100 pic in it the mem was still at 9 gb. And i was already annoyed by that many pics...So that was the top of how many pics could lay in my device. However, not everybody is organized. But not to buu a phone because of this excuse. Ha ha ha.
