I have spoken to some large retailers in Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore and Seattle: almost all said that yes, S5 sales have been way below expectations and in a few cases below that of the S4. The reasons seem to be mainly saturation in the Android sphere (HTC One M8, LG G2/G3 and Sony Z1/Z2, as well as the iPhone), but also that there are very good discounts on last years models, which still offer very good specs at a huge saving...and people who bought them last year are still happy for now. A bad sign for profitability...

in android world there are lots and lots of better choices so no surprises here, samy is fighting with these and c(r)apple while the latter has its own loyal ifans no matter what

the new Galaxy S5 is too big and too expensive.
people would prefer Note 3 over S5 since both have the same price tags.

Mid range phones are also eating up S5 sales. Specs for midrange phone used to belong to high end phone only but times has change. Why spend so much when you just want to make a call, text and surf.

The wrong thing they did in S5 compared to S4 are:
1-larger bazel.
2-thicker
3-heavier
With almost same screen size as S4.
They though the company's reputation will let them build a crap and every one will buy.

Cut down the price of phone
Do attract with more ads for consumers
Coz Indian mobile lover willing to have one
due to cost they are behind other brands
Sammy consider Indian mobile market has huge potential
encash them !!!!
