How does this make any sense. There is an additional row of 72 pixels on the SIDE, not bottom.

Not even the Meizu fans are denying where the inspiration or copying comes from. Meizu have been tangling with copycat issues with Apple since 2007 before even Samsung. Denying it just makes your IQ look lower and lower by the second.
That being said, it is interesting how the Chinese companies will now give a lot of trouble to the big Android companies like Samsung, Sony and HTC. I am looking forward to buying the iPhone 6, but would certainly not mind having this MX4 as my second phone.

I will take this than the iphone6. The new 3 sections design of iphone6 leaks are ugly to its gut.

The Mi4 killer.
One of the best things about Meizu is they don't do bullsh*t "flash" sales, they will ship them as fast as they can make them, and that usually means anyone here in China can get their hands on one pretty fast after release.

If we talk about android on the other hand It is a big blow to big companies. Right now Chinese phone companies are making a big move on android world and they are showing it right now. Android will change and it will really affect big companies like Samsung, HTC and etc, with this price and specs it change everything that's the problem with an open source os. The competition is tight, high and faSt pace. Apple and blackberry on the other hand will not be affected partly because they have there own os that they invest and develop that's why they are a little expensive on android phones.

Also, who copied? First iPhone is a Samsung SGH-Z610 copy, which was released a year before. It had exactly 3.5 inchi, the same shape and a circular button, a capacitive display and a 5MP camera, video recording and a front facing camera, things iPhone only got on the 4th version. Also, iPhone 4 design is made by Sony not by Apple itself. So, who copied who? Check these, do not simply believe me but update your facts, fanboy!

Oh, really good and beautiful! Face it: it is now NOT an iPhone copy, it looks better than the upcoming iShit 6! And the build construction, magnesium? in a phone? this is simply perfect. Also, the idea of that sreen ratio and resolution for on-screen buttons not to cut the 1080p resolution for apps? Genius! Also, impressive capabilities for an LCD but still nothing compared to an AMOLED. Still very impressive, really!

This just goes to show that everyone else, especially the big companies, don't give a damn about quality and specs. These guys aren't as "big" as Samsung, Sony, Apple, HTC, LG, however they are able to release a more powerful phone, beautiful design, and a lot cheaper too. Hope this comes to the west, I'm sure it will sell very well. Then maybe some of the big companie$ might wake up, pull their heads out of their asses, stop stalling and bullsh*ting us with their slightly updated, same old uninovated design "flagships".

At least they managed to improve the quality of the pics using that 20.7 MP Sony camera sensor! nicer than what Sony has achieved with Z1 and Z2. I want this phone! I'm in Canada, hope to be able to ship it here from China or somewhere.

Sceptical about the chipset, but still, what a good looking phone. With Sony Z2 Optics, iPhone design and HTC build quality. And for £238? Gimme. Gimme now.
