the way you think is very wrong,meizu is one of the best chinese phone manufacturer and they support their devices for atlest 2 years.my meizu mx2 which is bought 1.5 yeras ago getting updates regularly (every month new firmwares) and will be upgraded to android 4.4 soon.Please tell me which companies support their products which are 2 generation old?Mediatek,PowerVR GPU or whatever companies they all depend of how software they are running is optimized for their chips.Diversity is welcomed.I am not closed minded person so i gave a try and liked meizu and i am thinking to buy this phone.

Yet another MTK phone that will be abandoned with no new software releases in no less than 6 months. That is the unfortunate fate of anything using those close source garbage MediaTek SoCs. The fact that it uses a PowerVR GPU doesn't make things any better, IMG Tech is renowned for its total lack of GPU documentation or its hostility towards open drivers.
Nobody in their right mind would buy this thing.

Why would anyone buy a galaxy S5 for more then double the price when they could have this? High end phones are getting cheaper to the point where anyone can afford to buy them now.
