This phone is $300 more than the last iteration of the nexus line, true. And $300 is a lot to jump. But when you look at the specs, when you look at the competition, the Nexus 6 is still extremely cheap! The Samsung Galaxy Note 4, $850. iPhone 6 Plus, $900. This phone is still a steal in its market, which is what all Nexus devices have been and will continue to be.

Google should have launched a reasonably sized (146mm long max) phone together with this phablet. They need to either commit to the Nexus product line or get rid of it. By committing to the Nexus line they should have consolidated Nexus 5 with an improved update (the current model's battery is a complete joke). They are not listening to their clients and fan base. I am disappointed because I have been waiting for a better version of Nexus 5 for a year and now we get this huge unpractical slab only.

Not to be anal but nexus PHONES were only 5 including this one, the Nexus 6, if I am not mistaken, plus 3 tablets including the Nexus 9 (4 if you count the nexus 7 2013). Not to mention the Google Play Editions of other various devices of course.

i really love this phone, the design, the spec, the camera, all about them but the price!! i was a moto lover years ago back to v3 and razr era :))
but according to my financial situation i think i will go with Alcatel Hero 2. maybe next month i'll get the new one replacing this old note2. But i still hope moto will cut the price especially in asia. Hello moto we are middle class people here don't push ourselves to get the highest end spec phone every time you vendors launch. i don't know i'm trying to be realistic......price is main point after all.
