It's OS is S40 so the games and applications is java files which is .jar files.... If you want WP8 try the lumia 520 it is affordable and a good phone..... Hope it helps......

After a few months with it I start to hate it. Battery life sucks even with one sim in it. mp3 does not play well 128kbit or higher. Feels slow. Its heavy and is hard to type on it fast.You can not see the screen unless in the shade or inside. Volume is really low and is not clear on the earpiece. Its worst on the speakerphone. I really start to hate it. Get something else. I used a blu tank and that was a better phone than this.

nice phone, VOIP works ok, good price, fast internet, bad phonebook search.
