Although in my opinion people are way tooblinded by all the new shiny gadgets and tend to ignore the lots of negative aspects of smartphones.
I would never buy a phone without an SD card. And i would never buy an expensive phone without a removable battery and without a big enough battery to last a day with ANY usage. I'm totally sick of fashion accesories they call "smartphones". And they won't change their policies until people start start respecting themselves as customers...

what I dont understand about the people on this site is this.
go and read the comments under the iPhone 6. OMG I cant believe the iPhone 6 will only sub 1080p screen with 416ppi, that sucks these days.
Comments for galaxy alpha are barely criticising the screen at all. despite 720p 312ppi.

have u ever noticed..Samsung's new design after Galaxy S5.. the back seems similar to Nokia 7310 Supernova...the dotted texture and even the color is same..
I dont understand why Samsung tends to copy others..

The phone is very well designed, great looks. Best for people like me who don't want bulky sets, prefer reasonable screen like in S2, plus metallic border is fantabolous. If this phone wasn't announced, i was going for HTC m8 & now m waiting for its launch.

You can give all the top specs in the world and it would still be slow bc it's a Samsung with Touchwiz.
Once you see the lag of Touchwiz you can never un-see it.
I can never go back to Samsung.
I will say that this is best looking Samsung phone ever.

Battery will only be good with powersave on. Trouble with powersave is it stops many of the smartphone processes meaning the phone ain't so smart anymore. And getting a phone with a 4.7 inch screen and battery that small definitely ain't smart. Meet the galaxy alpha - "the new dumb phone"!

Don't worry about battery life. Samsung made the amazing efficient battery life tech into galaxy alpha. GSMARENA needs to test video time, web browsing time, etc in the near future. If don't believe, watch youtube review about Galaxy alpha.

I watched youtube review from Russiathat galaxy alpha's battery life is the best . Octacore AP was made by 20nm for the first time, so battery is so so efficient. HD video runs for 11h 17m with full brightness display. Battery life time is much better than other flagship models.

Samsung must not be half-hearted with their change of design! Plastic is no good! Very simple. Doesn't mean you need to put Gold, Saffiire and Diamond for a product that has maximum of 2 years shelf-life but it has to be metal shell or hard-shell with good material!

Samsung seems to try to change their design, but apart from the frame, nothing has changed. They need to change it completely. To me s4, s4 mini, note 3, s5, s5 mini and now alpha, they all look the same.. same as sony phones.

720p doesn't sound good on paper, but it's actually the high end part (sacrifices a tiny amount of viewability but gains battery and performance). This phone is truly high end except from battery (at 8.1mm, S5's thickness you'd get 3000 mah battery, oh well).
