I know that not all phones will capture exactly the same scene as there will be a slight diffrence in fov but a simple setting in a gadget can give a satisfactory fov views for all phones with exactly the same light conditions for all phones.

Disappointed in the N5 on this. Good one on LG, good sensor! Might be the next one but needs to be in White! come on T-mo!

If you want to claim that the... moreDude i do understand that different exposures, different white balances, due to software in these camera's will tend to produce diffrent type of pics but what am talking abt is completly diffrent .
There are quite a few pics in this blind tests which suggests that some pics are taken at slightly diffrent times.
Take a good look at the people in the photos.They will give u a better idea .these photos are very inconsistant in nature.
& No, No one needs to do all those sky studies just for a simple blind test..
The solution to this is quite simple actually and lots of tech sites use this already u can also see lots of tests like this on you tube where in a guy (tester) has a tripod type gadget wherein he fits like 3 to 4 smartphones at once and does the tests.
& And now dont tell me that Gsma cannot buy that kind of gadget Lol.

If you want to claim that the light situation differs enough from one pic to the other, you need to study the clouds in the sky.
Look at the daytime pictures.
The skies are exposed differenlty (due to software in the mobile), but on most you see the same cloud formation. Suggesting that not that much time has passed between shots. And it's thus likely that they are shot under similar light-situations.
yes a cloud passing over the sun, can change the light situation a lot.
But I see nothing that really indicates thats what has happenend here. It looks more like different exposures, different white balances, due to software, than different light situations.

If you use a multi holder for mobiles or camera, they will absolutely undobtly shift the perspective. So the cameras will not center on the same thing.
The distance to the object will effect how much impact that will have on the end result.
If the obejct is within some percent of the center, it should have comparable sharpness.
Phones in landscape mode takes up some space. With a whole bunch (to cover all interesting models at the market at the same time), some cameras will end up, quite far from the ones in the middle, the ones used as a reference for taking the picture.
Thus including a shift in percpetive that will have an impact on the result, and you will end up with a result that isn't comparable anyway.
Doing it handheld is however also likely to cause a slight shift in position. You are unlikely to hold the camera in the exact same position. Even if you have a mark, for where you are going to place your feet. But unlikely to cause a shift at the lenght of several of phones.
A multi trigger system, is a system that can trigger the shutters, at the same time.
For photos, the time difference would be quite small, if you have another person, ready to give you the next device, when you have taken a shot.
The positioning of clouds, that has most effect on light situation, even in winter, will however vary through a video sequence, thus not be as critical as for when taking a single snapshot.

I mean what if Meizu was used 1st in the tests and then after 2 to 3 mins later Note5 or LG V10 were used so that does flaws the results as the natural light changes due to lots of enviournmental factors .
I am not saying that it wud flaw the results a lot but still it will not be considered equal for sure.
As a matter of fact lots of pics in this blind test proves what i am saying.if one goes through the pics in detail.
& No, I am not talking abt the optics and sensor, controlling for exposure settings and movement.

My argument is that allowing exposure settings and random movement to influence the test results is actually a better real-world test. I have no doubt that Samsung has a better sensor, and likely better optics, than the Meizu. However, in a real world setting, Meizu seems to have done well with image processing and exposure control, enough so that the picture looks better to most people.

& Again i am not saying that they sud have used the tripod for stability...
My main concern is a diffrent pics in somewhat diffrent light conditions.
& what exactly u mean by Multi trigger ?
All i am asking them is to snap pics or record videos at the same time not like one at evening 5:15 pm then another at 5:17pm even a 2 min diffrence can change a whole lots of things in the sky to change the light conditions.

That way, the time-difference would be minimal.
using a tripod, as stated would stabilize the shot, and therefor not simulating real world situation.
Those multi trigger set also has the disadvantage that they could end up too far apart.

We should have guessed that the Mystery phone wasn't a healinde worthy phones. At least in no other way than for it to possibly beat the others in the shoot-out.
Leaving out iPhone, or Nokia/MS from the headline would definately lead to less page-views, then having it in the headline.
Probably Sony too.

Its a general thinking in ppl that the tripods are only used for taking stable pics and videos but are unaware that that there are diffrent types of tripods/devices as well which gives many more features apart from stability like taking pics and videos at the same time or other extra selfie featues.with like 6 to 8 phones at exactly the same time.

This is an excellent test. Well done gsmarena.

This is weird. The Note5 has been first or last in camera comparisons across all sites and on DOXMark it got beat by its sibling the S6 edge+. What sensor was on this unit because this is puzzling how the results are never consistent.

So i guess the DXO type tests is more valid than these blind tests as Dxo does its tests in exactly the same light conditions and almost similer camera settings for all the devices.like a lab test.
& That results in a fair test.

Unfortunately, after many years of regular use, I don't believe objectivity of gsmarena anymore. China's companies don't respect regulations, they don't respect intellectual property, human rights, so I will never trust nor buy they product until these BASIC principles of business/life are respected. Right now they are only trying to benefit at the expense of others. Please respect my opinion. You have your own choice.
