Microplex, 19 Apr 2012So - LG - Samsung - HTC - Sony Mobile & previous ... moreAre you sure you took all your medications?
The correct order is this
iOS > WP7.5 OS > Symbian OS > MeeGo OS > Android OS > BlackBerry OS > Bada OS

Three years from now
WP8.0 OS > iOS > So little that it is irrelevant

Ok, thats great no problems, you stick with Nokia and WP7.5 ... good luck with it ..

When you finally wake up from the slumber you are in due to the ugly live lives and hopeless UI/OS come back here and say that Mr Elop made the right choice.

As for the name "Lumina" v "Lumia" blame sywpe but now that I am using a normal keyboard the mistake wont be made again.

Unfortunately as I heard all of current Windows Phones(WP)using WP7~7.5 can not support OS upgrade to the next one, WP8. This will be same to Lumia series as well.
If it's true, it will be the most critical issue in WP, MS please think.

I just can't believe that this phone uses the same camera sensor as the N9. Even though the pictures got impressive colors and white balance, it's very poor when you look at them at full resolution.

                    "arguably the best Windows Phone"
                    480 x 800 pixels, 4.3 inches (~217 ppi pixel density)
                    127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5 mm

                    Those dimensions are just awful.

I used the 800 and in messages etc the headers (with the big text) and menus take up half the screen space. Imagine that on a 4.3" screen because this is the same resolution (pixels) scaled up to a bigger size.

I would buy the 800 over this. It's the same resolution but in a smaller body. If you bend your elbow the screens will look the same.

Try charging your lumia with usb. The battery lasts a lot longer that way. something weird with the charger that comes with the phone.. Everyone owning lumia should try this tip and post results here.
my model 800 lasts for three days of use when charged with usb, but only about 30 hours when using the original charger.

It says the OS is pretty short when compared to others. But I went through the whole review and didnt find any specific points. Browsing on this phone is amazing. Nice uncluttered interface. Androids good...but its Different ;)

You wanna ... morebwahahahahaha, listen son, I have a Samsung Omnia 7 which I purchased outright in early 2011 and to this day running WP7.5 "Mango" OS its still a better mobile / smartphone than the Nokia Lumina 800 and now 900, Samsung got the the specs right for WP7 (neither LG or HTC got it right) and even though the Omnia 7 is a little down on power against the Lumina 900 it still is a clear by a large margin over the Lumina 900 for the sheer simple fact of Super AMOLED 4" screen and connectivity options (again for 2010/2011 model).

Mr Elop then stated that when then Nokia Lumina 800 was released worlds 1st Windows Phone 7 handset, please Mr Elop, that is a massive slap in the face to HTC, LG & Samsung that risked their corporate identity to 1st release WP7 after the disaster that was WM5 through 6 from Microsoft.

We all know that Nokia took Microsoft's money to basically walk away from not only Symbian OS but to walk away from MeeGo OS, now its not for me to say if that was the right decision of not as if I were in Nokia's CEO shoes I probably would of something similar, however where Mr Elop made the mistake was to virtually close the door shut on Google and the "Android OS", its clear that Nokia still make very desirable handsets that the market wants, but imagine how much better it would be if Nokia would not have slammed the door shut, thrown away the key and then chain locked the door to having an android based Nokia in the market place ...

Like I said earlier, Mr Elop needs to be leave Nokia if Nokia as a company wants to survive as the $1 billion from Microsoft only comes once and should Nokia fail to lift Microsoft profile through their handsets in the market place Nokia only have one person to blame and that is Mr Elop himself.

Get rid of him now as CEO and bring in a Android based Nokia and watch Nokia soar back to the lofty heights it used to have back in the Nokia N95 days of 2006/2007.

Lumia is targeted at first time smartphone users. Not (yet!) for "ialreadyknoweverythingkiddoos". In that perspective, it's superior device.
