Using this phone. everything is fine except the battery. actually android is a laggy os. it always use minimum 700 mb of ram. if all feature is on than the usage of ram is 1.4 gb!! lol. The battery should be 15000 mAh. not joking. my set was stand by. but per hour 2 percent charge is going down. i am doing nothing. Actually this is the fault of android not samsung. At least we need a 3 gb ram and 10k mAh battery. then it will be equal to 2000mAh windows mobile

This statement is incorrect. Each pixel is made up of three sub pixels in a traditional display, but not in a PenTile display. You're forcing it to conform to the standard of a traditional display, even though it's different technology that was designed to have/use less sub pixels.
Technically each pixel in a PenTile display is made up of 2 [unique] sub pixels.

S4 1080p PenTile is not true 1080p

Full HD means 1920 by 1080 and it gives us 2073600 pixels since 1920*1080 = 2073600. On a traditional 1080p RGB panel (like on the HTC One), it’s the same but on a Pentile display, things are a bit different. See, each pixel on a RGB panel is made of 3 subpixels. On a PenTile display (like the one on the Galaxy S4), it is made of two and the missing subpixel in each individual pixel can be found in the adjacent pixel, which means on a standard 1080p RGB panel, there are 6220800 subpixels (2073600*3 = 6220800), but on a 1080p PenTile display, it’s 4147200. How?
Since 1 subpixel is missing from each pixel, we subtract 2073600, which is the number of missing subpixels on a 1080p Pentile display from 6220800, which is the total number of actual subpixels on a 1080p RGB display and we come up with 4147200. To get the total pixel count, we divide it by 3, because technically each pixel is made of 3 subpixels. So, 4147200/3 = 1382400.
So we now got the actual total pixel count. But how do we convert it to resolution? It’s easy, we divide the horizontal aspect ratio by vertical and then vice versa.
16/9 = 1.77 and 9/16 = 0.56. Then, we multiply each by the total pixel count:
1382400 * 1.77 = 2446848
1382400 * 0.56 = 774144
Then we take a square root of both:
sqrt(2446848) = 1564.24
sqrt(774144) = 879.85
Rounding each number, we come up with 1564 x 880

June update was quiet well for better secreen resulation and few other things. But i just got a new update named Aug29. This update made my phone damn worst battery again. Totally used phone only 6 hours web browsing 2 hours and battery got %15. Btw most important thing is phone getting overheat after latest update even dring a regular call. I am carrying a hot burger in my pocket. I guess samsung is not testing their new updates. Before june update, previous update was damn worse as well.. Samsung playing game with users. They dont know this update business. Just saying more stabilization coming up but getting worse. How someone can make a worse update after a stable update ?? Im sick of downgrading my firmware more than 5 times many applications giving error cuz of it.. If it goes in this way, ill say bye bye to samsung forever.. Dump Noobs..

I bought my phone last Sunday.
From the first day I bought, I feel that my phone is overheating near the camera area whenever I use Internet through mobile network.anyone has similar problem for over heating . And also the battery drain very quickly...I try to update my phone OTA, It is saying that it is the latest version/

For me this is the best phone, best phone depends on your needs. Im not on IP5 because of battery drains really fast. Note 3 would be epic but doesn suits me because I didn't carry any bag and it will not fit on my pocket.
S4 would be my best choice, if you're bored already with its UI try to install custom rom and kernel, it would really help your battery life as well as phone performance.
Best phone will depend on what suits your needs

Hi Everyone,
My S4 easily drained.. I charged it 100% and after 30 mins the battery became 87% without using it..at the same time mobile date was off, memory cleared(3x) and all open apps were closed..
Any suggestion how I will resold this problem?

I hate the way Samsung dumps their apps on Android without letting users to uninstall what they don't require. Samsung should let users choose and install what they really need. Tens of apps always run in the background which make you suspicious. I guess people agree with me on this.
